Alaia Belize exceeded our expectations and was the perfect place to spend four nights in San Pedro. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a spacious two-bedroom suite, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The property is absolutely immaculate, with beautiful grounds, well-maintained facilities, and stunning views throughout. Every restaurant we tried on-site was excellent, with great food and attentive service. The staff consistently went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure we had everything we needed. From the accommodations and amenities to the dining and overall experience, Alaia delivered on every level. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury resort experience in Belize

For those looking for comfort and service, this is your place. The best part is the endless number of kind and warm staff that makes the experience perfection - we’ve never stayed anywhere where the people make you feel like family, and this resort does that. We want to give a huge shout-out to Johny, Miss Mini, and Kenroy at the pool for their incredible service and all-around happiness, despite always being outside in the heat. Also a deserving shout-out to Sea Salt/Terrace restaurant servers Moises, Lucia, and Maria for taking amazing care of us and making great recommendations for things to see and do. Johny and Moises were particular standouts, and it was so nice meeting such friendly and genuine people who were always dedicated to making our experience an amazing one. Moises taught us a lot about Belize, and his enthusiasm is contagious! We had so many laughs with him during our dinner nights at Sea Salt. Johny is a gem - always cheerful and always going out of his way to say hi and ask about our day even if he wasn’t serving our section, and making sure our every need was attended to. We felt like friends by the end of our stay, and we were sad to say goodbye. We have never stayed anywhere that so many of the staff were such wonderful and kind people. Alaia is so incredibly lucky to have this group representing them. It makes the vibe of an upscale resort feel warm and friendly instead of stuffy. Moving on to the other aspects: The resort is lovely, lush foliage paired with beautiful pools and buildings. Lots of sargassum in summer so the beach isn’t swimmable (which we knew ahead of time), but it doesn’t matter as the pools are fabulous and you can find pristine water at Secret Beach or on any snorkel tour. We took 2 amazing snorkel tours, 1 with fishing-- best snorkelling we’ve ever done, and I can’t imagine anywhere else on earth is so friendly that you can stop at basically any local restaurant and they’ll cook your catch for you. This was such an incredible part of the experience. Again, the people of Ambergris Caye are amazing. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Bottled water restocked daily. Food: some of the best resort meals we’ve ever had. Huge portions. Amazing short rib, tenderloin, side dishes, seafood, sushi, pizza, burgers, and soups. Breakfast buffet was delicious - perfect bacon and scrambled eggs and French toast or pancakes, plus changing options like potatoes au gratin and chilaquiles. Lava cake dessert was fabulous. The only thing that could use a bit more variety was the Japanese food on the roof top - the sushi was stunning, but the main dishes could use some more choice. Drinks: cocktails and blender drinks are made with real fruit - not the artificially-flavoured slushies you get at other resorts. So many good options. All-inclusive is very worth it if you don’t want to limit your food and drink options, but do make sure you go to a couple of local places during your stay. Access to golf cart rentals is simple, with a big cart parking lot right across the street. Driving around and exploring was one of our favourite experiences. All-in-all, a top-notch vacation in the best tropical place with the most wonderful people. We will definitely be back.

I booked Alaia Resort located in San Pedro, Belize for my wife and I’s 2nd Anniversary. We booked 6 days, 5 nights - all inclusive. Firstly, the staff was amazing. Ernestina, was pouring our drinks at the main bar near the pool and had the best personality and customer service! She was very welcoming the first night and we looked forward to seeing her everyday after that. Nick “the juice man” was great with freshly squeezed juice every morning. Shakira was a great waiter at the main restaurant where breakfast and dinner is served. Johnny was a cool guy who served us and also had a great personality. The only thing about all inclusive that wasn’t the best was the top shelf alcohols weren’t included like Bulleit Bourbon, Grand Marnier, and other tequilas. The ribeye steak and lobster also was not included. And for $200 per person per day, I feel like the ribeye OR all the alcohol should be included. Secondly, the food was delicious. From breakfast, to lunch, and especially dinner. The French toast was phenomenal, the chilaquiles was great, along with the basics of egg, bacon, and potatoes. Lunch was good with the fried wings. Get the half and half. Now for dinner!! They had steak filet and choice skirt steak fajita meat. Both were great but that filet!!!!! Wonderful. The resort was clean, very nice, and had an ocean view near the pool. Our room was also very nice. It didn’t have a tub for my wife but had a very nice shower. I recommend this resort to anyone traveling to Belize.

I am shocked this is autograph collection. If you are accustomed to staying in 5 star resorts, please know that this is not it if you get a reef suite. Please, do not get a reef suite unless you like run down air bnbs. The paint is shipping, everything is dirty, the faucets are rusted, and the AC is so loud it shakes the room and you can’t sleep. The rest of the resort is fine but I went to the front desk to request a different room and they couldn’t have cared less. First he said a one bedroom in the main building would be more expensive than a two bedroom beachfront condo which just isn’t true. Then he said we may not have availability but he didn’t even check and he dismissed me and didn’t even apologize for our experience. Add to that Belize smells like a port-a-potty due to the decomposing sargassum everywhere. What a massive disappointment and waste of money. Can’t wait to go home. Yuck.
