Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea

Simply superb! The Edge is perched at the far end of the fabulous Kempinski on the Dead Sea. We sat overlooking a turquoise infinity pool and feasted. Bar and grill fare elevated to subtle heights. The most dramatically presented Cesar salad temptingly laced with house-made mayonnaise. Followed by a light pea soup, and a club sandwich stacked in delicious layers of bread, cheese, fried egg and cold meats. Accompanied by crisp fries. And then we DIED in the chocolate soufflé. Seriously - you have to order it half an hour in advance and it arrives freshly baked and oozing dark chocolate. Leaving fatter but who cares. This was FABULOUS! Our server Fadi was fantastic throughout- gave great advice and never left my wine glass empty!

A fabulous hotel and facilities! The staff is courteous, helpful and professional. The service was exceptional as well, too many people to mention by name, but Nawras our breakfast attendant was wonderful.

Our stay at Kempinski Ishtar Dead Sea was absolutely fantastic and easily one of the most relaxing hotel experiences we’ve had. The resort itself is stunning and very spacious, with multiple areas to explore, yet it never feels crowded. Everything is beautifully maintained, and the overall atmosphere is calm and luxurious — perfect if you’re looking to truly switch off and unwind. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the full Dead Sea experience. Floating in the Dead Sea for the first time was surreal, and the mud bath and salt scrub made it even more special. A huge thank you to Sultan and Mohamed, who took exceptional care of us throughout — they explained everything clearly, helped with the process, and were incredibly friendly and attentive. We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary, and the team went above and beyond. A special mention to Mr. Mohammed, who is in charge of the Resense Spa, for leading the initiative to surprise us with a beautiful anniversary cake, delivered by the hotel staff. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the celebration feel truly personal. The Resense Spa itself is outstanding. The variety of temperature pools, different jacuzzis targeting specific body areas, along with the steam room and sauna, made it an experience in its own right. Mr. Mohammed took the time to explain all the facilities when we arrived, which was extremely helpful, especially as first-time visitors. Our Panoramic Room was huge, very comfortable, and offered a breathtaking view. Watching the sunset over the Dead Sea from our outdoor seating area was easily one of the most beautiful moments of the trip. We also really enjoyed the food. The Lebanese dishes at Rehan Restaurant were excellent, full of flavor and very well prepared. We had breakfast for one morning, and it was brilliant — a great spread overall, with the freshly baked breads standing out in particular. What truly makes Kempinski Ishtar special is the people. Every staff member we encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely eager to help, making us feel welcomed from start to finish. Overall, this resort delivers on every level — service, relaxation, food, and experience. It was the perfect place to celebrate an important milestone, and we left feeling completely refreshed. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Dead Sea, especially for a special occasion.

Breakfast at Obelisk Restaurant in the Kempinski Hotel was absolutely outstanding. The variety, quality, and freshness of the food were exceptional—everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and perfectly prepared. A truly great way to start the day. What made the experience even more special was the excellent service. Special thanks to Abed Alziz, Jamal, Sabri, and Yehia for their incredible hospitality. They were attentive, friendly, and always smiling, making sure everything was perfect throughout the breakfast. Their professionalism and genuine care really stood out.

We had a wonderful stay at the Kempinski Hotel. Everything was exceptional. The service, the atmosphere, and the overall experience were truly outstanding. A very special thank you to Nadeem at Sumiran Restaurant for his professionalism and kindness, and to Machhour as well, who was incredibly nice and attentive. They both made our dining experience unforgettable. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
