Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea

Everything here is amazing. The facilities are wonderful, the breakfast is excellent, and the beach service is fantastic. The reception staff were very kind, and I absolutely love my room. The breakfast service is truly best-in-class. A special mention must go to Ivan, who is something special—well done! The swimming pools and gardens are so beautiful, and the spa is simply amazing. Lebanese restaurant food was delicios ! However, one thing was upsetting. As a Half-Board (HB) guest, I never received a clear answer on how to pay for dinner. On the first night at the restaurant, I requested to pay the difference immediately, but they insisted on charging it to my room. (I should note, no one had informed me that wine was not covered by the deposit, so I ordered wine in deposit amount and I had to pay for it separately). I settled that bill at reception afterwards, which was fine. The confusion continued the next day at the main buffet. Having been told the previous day that charges would be to my room, I didn't bring money. This time, however, the staff requested immediate payment and asked me to return to my room to get cash, which I did. This inconsistency was frustrating and a bit confusing. To be honest, this experience means I would likely not book Half-Board here again, as the process seems too complicated. Aside from this issue, everything else was absolutely wonderful!

Our stay at the Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea was truly exceptional from start to finish. A special mention must go to Ivan from Guest Relations, who was an absolute delight throughout our stay. Despite how busy the hotel was, Ivan always made time to personally check in on us with genuine warmth and care. He was personable, attentive, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure our stay felt special and effortless, service like this really sets the tone for an unforgettable experience. We also thoroughly enjoyed our many dinners at the Edge Restaurant. Each visit was a highlight, thanks to the incredible resident musicians who created a wonderful atmosphere. The food was consistently excellent, and the service was polished, friendly, and attentive every single time. The Dead Sea experience itself is an absolute must try and unlike any other beach resort we’ve visited. Floating in the Dead Sea and enjoying the beachfront and mud experience felt truly unique and memorable. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and perfectly suited for relaxation, providing a peaceful retreat. Overall, Kempinski Ishtar is a stunning property that perfectly combines natural beauty with high end luxury and genuinely attentive service. We would highly recommend it and look forward to returning.

Convenient location with great service, especially Juliet (concierge) and Cherry (breakfast). Juliet kindly helped us book taxi to the airport (if the manager of Kempinski have viewed this comment, please praise Juliet and offer her bonus!!), I would like to travel here again in the future))

The views are amazing, the dead sea experience was super special but the highlight for this unfortunately short stay was the friendly staff at the OBELISK restaurant where i was made to feel like i was amongst friends and not totally on my own.. Thank you ERA (what a personality!!) Abedalziz, Ahmad Alsaia and of course Cherry with tha beautiful smile.. Thank you guys 🙏🏼
