Thanks to a friend, me and my two girlfriends were able to spend 4 nights at this luxurious abode. In a city as busy as Amsterdam, this place has a much needed calm. We started our day with a delicious breakfast where a team of wonderful hosts took care of us every day! On the day 2 & 3 of the trip, two of us felt ill. Within minutes, it felt like everyone in the staff knew and were sincerely looking for ways to take care of us. We were offered ginger teas, fruits, soup, were recommended steam (which worked wonders!) and words of comfort. Thank you guys! you all were great, Truely living up to the reputation.

Stayed here twice with the family. Checked us in early. Gave us both rooms ahead of schedule. The concierge is fantastic, front desk very very helpful, doorman was excellent - he has been there since the last time we were there. Very boutique and clean and great bathrooms and amazing service

Beautiful rooms and great spot to be in the city! Also, great restaurants in the building. We recommend a canal cruise!!

I’ve never written a short (good) review, and this one won’t be my first. We stayed at Hotel De L’Europe (“HDE”) for 5 nights in April, 2025. It was our first vacation in six years, to one of our favorite cities, celebrating our 25th anniversary, and our first time staying at HDE. It was nothing short of perfect and an experience we will never forget. We booked a “junior suite, river view,” but at check-in were informed that we had been upgraded: to the Royal Penthouse Suite! (Yes, these things really DO happen.) Needless to say, our “room” was beyond our wildest dreams, but it was more than just the upgrade/room: it was everything and everyone at HDE. From the lobby & common areas, to the restaurants & bars and the gym & spa, to the location, to the amazing people – 10s across the board. In fact, within a week of returning home we had already booked our next visit for July! It was that good. While everyone at HDE made us feel comfortable without any hint of pretense or snobbery, a few shout-outs must be given: to Gelle (front desk), Marylene (Brasserie Marie), Cho (concierge), Paulina (spa), and Archie (Freddy’s & Chapter 1896). And an extra special shout-out to Sander (concierge) for his spot-on recommendations and his uncanny ability (super power?!) to make us feel both ‘at home’ and ‘special’ all at the same time. Whoever is in charge of training HDE’s staff clearly knows what they’re doing because one of its greatest assets is its people. Thank you to everyone at HDE, and we will see you again in July.
