Amsterdam is a city of such charm it(TM)s hard to imagine a hotel that can surpass its allure. But the dramatic The Dylan Amsterdam, the creation of über-chic designer Anouska Hempel, sets the standard for hip hotels. It enjoys a beautiful location on the Keizersgracht Canal and it amazes with individually furnished themed rooms that include a fantasy in candy-colored stripes and a soothing Zen escape. Spending a quiet moment in the lovely garden is the perfect prelude for afternoon tea in the Long Gallery.

An absolutely stunning 5-Star hotel, with impeccable service and excellent character. Nestled in busy streets of Amsterdam, the charm and hospitality of The Dylan was an amazing slice of “home”, making you feel welcome with each return back to the property. Food and beverage selection is top notch, with carefully curated dishes and details to add to the experience. Ron, and the whole concierge team is outstanding, with extensive understanding of the city. Would absolutely stay again, and looking forward to our next stay.

Front desk staff were helpful except for when I first checked in. Asked for a foam pillow and extra key but never received either one. Hotel Room was definitely not worth the extra $$ that I had to pay above the upgrade from AMEX. View of canal wasn’t anything special or worth it. The floor in several spots were buckling, the heater didn’t work the great. Housekeeping - took my treats and water before they were consumed. I mean?? Both restaurants I got to enjoy. The staff were very attentive at Vinklies but on the slower side at Occo The location was great. Everything wasn’t that far away Overall hotel was OK.

We recently stayed at this beautiful hotel in Amsterdam, and I can truly say it was a remarkable experience. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, and the service is second to none. What really sets this hotel apart, though, is their incredible kindness and flexibility. During our first planned visit back in October, my partner fell ill on the day we were supposed to fly. I emailed the hotel at the last minute, explaining the situation, and they were unbelievably accommodating. Without any hesitation or extra charge, they allowed us to reschedule our stay to December. I’ve never encountered such thoughtful and gracious service from any hotel, big or small. This place is a true gem in the heart of Amsterdam. It’s beautiful, exquisite, and utterly unique. I can’t recommend it highly enough and will definitely be returning. Thanks again to the amazing team for making our stay so special!

Our stay at The Dylan was fantastic. From René’s warm welcome to the entire staff’s friendliness, we felt right at home. The room was stunning, with high ceilings, a beautiful bathtub, and top-notch finishes. The breakfast was delicious, made with the finest ingredients, and the bar’s cocktails were superb. We can’t recommend it enough!

The location is good, walking distance to everything in Amsterdam. The shared spaces are pretty and the hotel is clean. That's it, but you can also get that for much cheaper at other hotels nearby. The biggest issue we had was that even though our room was nice, the bathroom arrangement was not functional. I would expect to be able to take a decent shower at a hotel like this and it was impossible. Our shower was basically unusable, no pressure, the water temperature kept changing, the shower head was tiny, the bathtub was clogged. We were paying over 600 euros per night, that's unacceptable. The other issue we had was with the service, it was very inconsistent. Twice they completely forgot about what we ordered at the restaurant and the people at the lobby were not helpful when we needed some help. Overall I would expect that for the price and size of the hotel that the experience would be great but it was definitely not what I expected.
