Discover the Hilton Amsterdam hotel, famous for John Lennon and Yoko Ono's 1969 ‘bed-in for peace' and Hilton's first hotel in the Netherlands. This iconic hotel was famously built on the baseline of Plan Zuid, a district designed by prominent architect Berlage, which highlights the Amsterdam School of architecture and contains boutiques, designer shops and couture houses, in addition to being within walking distance of world-renowned Museum Square.

This is an older hotel but it was lovely, located right on a canal. It is a bit outside of the city in a quiet area. I thought that might be an issue, but if you are in good condition, you could walk pretty much anywhere you wanted to reach in the city. It is a short walk to get a tram and it is also close to the Vondelpark. The Executive Lounge was small but nice and service was good.

A wonderful oasis. This is my second visit to Amsterdam. The first was nice but its true location, location. The Hilton is perfectly located on a beautiful canal. Close to everything. The out door space is breathtaking. The staff is warm and friendly. Our room was well appointed and comfortable and most important it was quiet. Thick walls and sound proofing . I never heard another person or noise from outside. Beds are very comfy. This is where I will stay next time in Amsterdam. I love this hotel.

Cancelled my reservations and then tried to charge me twice saying I hadn’t already paid for my room. And to top it off The payed upgrade Riverview is actually of the train. 😡

I couldn’t have asked for a better serious. The guy that checked me in was fun to communicate with he gave me a little tour on interesting things to do in Amsterdam. He left me with the city map and the Hilton one when I asked if that was mine. I can’t speak much about the location as I only just arrived tonight and currently staying in the property. The room is very big and modern. The bathroom is stylish and beautiful. The surprise in my room was a mind blowing. A Champaign and cake setup with 2 glasses and plates. This is more than a kind gesture from the hotel to the guest. The hotel neighbourhood looks peaceful when my taxi brought me in. It’s my sister’s birthday we came in from Londons for 4nights. I’ll recommend this hotel a million times over.

Top notch in every possible way. Welcoming and warm staff, quiet and clean rooms and common areas, a beautiful canal view, delicious breakfast and the list goes on. The pride taken by the entire team shows. We felt like royalty! This hotel sits on the outskirts of town away from the tourist traps. The location is a five minute walk from the street car which travels all around town. Book this place; you won’t regret it!
