Discover the Hilton Amsterdam hotel, famous for John Lennon and Yoko Ono's 1969 ‘bed-in for peace' and Hilton's first hotel in the Netherlands. This iconic hotel was famously built on the baseline of Plan Zuid, a district designed by prominent architect Berlage, which highlights the Amsterdam School of architecture and contains boutiques, designer shops and couture houses, in addition to being within walking distance of world-renowned Museum Square.

This Hotel was AWESOME. The Staff from check in (Romi) , concierge (Hari), dinner/breakfast service to bar service were ALL kind, friendly and helpful. (Sophie in the executive lounge was also very friendly and informative. ) The location was ideal. It is walking distance to the Van Gogh museum and Rijks Museum as well as many others. There is a very quaint shopping area with excellent restaurants also in walking distance. The aspect I liked about these shops is that they were more local and less commercial/tourist. As for the room (we were 820) it was clean, spacious and well maintained. We had a view of the city and it was beautiful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

We are loyal guests at Hilton in general and Hilton Amsterdam in particular. The service in the hotel is excellent. Very good breakfast especially the staff friendliness. The front office is very friendly and supportive. A special compliment to Arianna and Massimiliano for their pleasant effective support.

Skip this hotel. The rooms are pathetic and beyond old. When I complained, I was told the hotel is closing in two months for a massive renovation. If you already reserved a room here, cancel it and wait until the renovations are completed. The rooms, beds, towels etc. are really that bad. Note: this hotel is a good 10-12 minute walk to the tram, so not the most convenient hotel around if you want to be near the downtown action.

Roberto and Gabriello (I believe that is the spelling) did a fantastic job checking us in and accommodating to our tricky reservation that was missing a night. Very professional and informative about the area as well, much thanks to them both! Hotel is great so far and has a beautiful view as well

Beautiful hotel, great outdoor seating by the canal. We ate and drank sitting right by the canal, Beau and Marina were fantastic going out the way to find us a table right by the canal edge. The lounge has a good offering in the evening as well as a great view over the city
