NH Collection Amsterdam Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky

I visited Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky with my boyfriend. I loved how it combines historic character with modern hospitality and extensive event facilities. It is central location gave us access to most of the different places we needed to explore on our visit. It is search a versatile hotel.

Hotel welcome: The welcome experience was not satisfactory. The hotel did not provide a proper welcome or offer drinks/refreshments upon arrival. Check-in: The check-in process was slow and could be improved to make the arrival experience faster and more efficient. Room service: The room service experience was disappointing, both in terms of the speed of service and the lack of follow-up when the requested service was not provided. Noise and sound insulation: The sound insulation between the rooms and common areas is very poor. Noise could be heard clearly from different parts of the hotel, including rooms above, outside the room, and whenever someone opened a nearby door or was working in the corridor. Housekeeping activities were particularly noticeable, as almost everything could be heard inside the room. This significantly affected the comfort and privacy of the stay. Room preparation sign: There was no option to indicate that the room needed to be prepared or cleaned. The only available door sign was “Do Not Disturb.” A separate “Please Clean/Prepare Room” sign or option would be useful for guests requesting housekeeping service. Luggage assistance: At around 6:00 PM during departure, there was no staff available to assist with carrying the luggage from the room. I was informed that the relevant staff had not yet started their shift. Luggage assistance should be available throughout the day to provide a more convenient and comfortable departure experience.

My wife and I spent 5 days at the Krasnapolsky and we came back delighted. The location is simply unbeatable. The hotel sits right in the city centre, next to Dam Square, so all the main attractions were within easy walking distance. The welcome itself made a great first impression. The reception staff greeted us very warmly and even shared a short history of this beautiful hotel. Throughout our stay, both the reception and the concierge were extremely helpful with everything we needed. The room was very well equipped: a coffee machine, minibar, fridge, safe, and a smart TV that let us stream our favourite shows in the evenings. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the housekeeping team does a fantastic job. The rooms are well soundproofed. Of course, this is the very centre of Amsterdam, so you could occasionally hear something from the street, but that is a small price to pay for such a fantastic location :) We can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone, and we will definitely be back!

Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky is a 5-star hotel with its main entrance right on Dam Square. They have a spa, bar, restaurant, and concierge. The concierge made good restaurant recommendations and booked several taxis for us. The rooms were stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Other than the location, what I liked most about this hotel was the lavish breakfast. It included an omelet station, a machine the juiced oranges, a chocolate fountain, and a generous spread that included meats, cheeses, and multiple types of pancakes.

We had an excellent time at the hotel. Firstly I would like to thank Olga for making us so comfortable by upgrading my room as the travel agent had messed up my booking. She is a wonderful person. The entire staff is friendly and respectful. The breakfast is amazing. Had a great time. The location also super.
