Pestana Amsterdam Riverside

This is a great hotel. Although not central location, it’s a perfect place to be based to relax after a busy day in the centre. We walked to the centre each day and had an uber back (16 euros) Our room (superior double) was spacious, well designed and above all super clean (well done to housekeeping). The breakfast options are almost everything you need. Hot choices from scrambled eggs, beans, sausages, bacon, pancakes and vegetation option. Fruit, pastries, smoothies, yogurts, cheese, meats and salads. The orange juice is delicious and you can have a cheeky glass of Prosecco if you wish to. You won’t go hungry. For me though I felt that for a 5* there should be the option of having eggs cooked to order. There is a menu with cooked breakfast dishes (Benedict), although it’s charged. The toaster requires an upgrade ;) Spa is lovely for an hour and the bar has a cozy relaxed feel and delicious cocktails. Friendly staff, beautiful hotel, tasty breakfast and super clean - I recommend a stay here.

Just amazing. The staff are lovely and the feel of the place is both relaxing and energising for your days walking around the capital. We didn’t realise there’s a pool so didn’t take trunks but our room was so lovely getting up in the morning was a wrench. We had the deluxe river view room and moved the telly so we could just sit on our sofa and watch the barges and cruise boats go by. Lots of great bars and restaurants nearby and an Uber takes you to the Jordaan for around 20 euros. I can’t fault this hotel. 6 stars!!!!!!

We celebrated my daughter’s birthday first time in Amsterdam and we so glad we chose this hotel. It’s rare to find a place where everything just feels right, but this hotel nailed it. Staff were attentive and hotel immaculate.! Big shout out to Ana for going the extra mile with balloons to decorate our room. It made our stay truly special. Even at check out offer to leave bags meant we could tour the city without having to worry about the luggage. Thank you Pestana We’ll definitely be back! Hotel is easy accessible from the city.

The location, with a full moon over the river, was beatifull. The room was clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent.

Pestana Amsterdam Riverside is a truly stunning hotel — the architecture and facilities are iconic! The rooms are very cozy and comfortable, and the overall conditions are excellent. Breakfast could be a bit better for a five-star hotel, but the highlight of our stay was definitely the staff — they made us feel completely at home. A very special thank-you to Liliana from Paços de Ferreira for her kindness and warmth, and to Ana Marta for her thoughtful gesture. Thank you both for making our experience in this magnificent city even more special!
