Pestana Amsterdam Riverside

Perfect, top located, helpfull and very kind Staff

The Pestana is a chic, comfortable and inviting hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. I loved the buffet breakfast each morning and the fresh flowers everywhere. It was a perfect stay.

Liked the location as it was outside the city but not to far ....The hotel was beautiful inside immaculate. we had a fantastic room with a double shower , comfy bed and a large terraced area to sit out and enjoy a coffee or glass of wine ,even managed to sunbathe 🌞.. The Gym was small but enough equipment to have a good workout . The spa area was great we had it all to ourselves it was empty leach time we used it lovely atmosphere,warm pool and sauna was Very clean only downfall was the steam room wasn't working.... The restaurant was great ,very nice food good menu and cocktails taste.plenty to choose from at breakfast also . Only criticism is we didn't know what was included in the mini.bar.

The room was fine in the most forgettable sense of the word. Nothing broken, nothing dirty, but absolutely nothing that justified the price tag either. It felt like a mid-range hotel charging premium prices because of the name and the location. Breakfast was a real letdown. The buffet felt like it had been sitting out too long — nothing tasted fresh. They told us we could order eggs, which sounded promising, but they took a full 25 minutes to arrive. By that point you’ve lost interest. If you’re going to offer a cooked option, have the kitchen set up to actually deliver it. It wasn’t a disaster — the place functions, and we weren’t miserable. But when you’re paying €400 a night you expect to feel looked after, and we just didn’t. There are better options in Amsterdam for half the price that would probably leave you more impressed. Wouldn’t return.
