Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam

This is a luxury five-star hotel in a magnificent historic building, perfectly located in a lovely central area of Amsterdam. But the most important thing is the hotel's management and staff, who consistently go the extra mile to make your stay relaxing and happy. On this occasion, we particularly appreciated the hotel's excellent Butler Service. Mauricio and Carlos welcomed us to the hotel and were kind and thoughtful throughout our stay, which was during the recent heatwave. The quality of the Butler Service really does differentiate this hotel from other luxury hotels that we stay with. But it feels wrong to single any people out; the door team, reception team, concierges, housekeeping, and F&B team were all excellent and a credit to the hotel and its management. I wish there was enough space to mention everyone by name. Lastly, a quick word for the Maintenance team. The hotel is a very large historic building, and is kept beautifully and unobtrusively maintained. This must be a very difficult job, so congratulations are due. in a financially-competitive sector, the hotel is managing to maintain its luxury five-star feel, unlike some competitors whose financial focus is diminishing their brand. We would heartily recommend the hotel to everyone.

Fantastic location & lovely hotel staff

We had such a wonderful stay at this fabulous hotel. All priori communication prior to arrival and then upon check in was perfect. So accommodating, helpful and kind. It was our 20th wedding anniversary and we had a beautiful room planned and it was still upgraded to an apartment with a food gift. Champagne offered on arrival, and Carly/late check in became available too. So lucky with the whole booking. The staff are all really great and we were impressed with the overall experience. Thank you so much for making our trip a real delight-we would certainly stay again next time we visit Amsterdam! Huge thanks to all the team!

Amazing location and very good staff we loved the breakfast too

Another very good stay in a junior suite . Recently updated it was well decorated ,good furniture and a very comfortable bed . Luxurious bathroom with standalone bathtub plus shower and ample large towels. Staff are very professional and attentive to detail especially the welcoming door staff .
