Simply the best! Location and elegance in one hotel. Boutique style yet cosmopolitan. The General Manager Angelo is one of the most professional and friendly people in hospitality. Room 214 is a dream with sweeping views over the canal and walk to everywhere. The bar staff are excellent and Hugo the bell hop was so accommodating. Stay here for your trip to Amsterdam.

My one night stay at the Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam was nothing short of unforgettable. My deluxe room overlooked the canal with a view so beautiful it felt like a painting. From the moment I arrived, Eros greeted me with exquisite hospitality, and porters Maurice and Kaique ensured I was cared for at every moment. The housekeeping team truly elevates the experience. The room was immaculate, and every public space felt perfectly maintained. Their attention to detail adds a quiet but essential layer of comfort throughout the hotel. Dinner at Omber was a highlight. The dishes were extraordinary, the atmosphere warm, and the service flawless. Chef Jose, together with Aaron and Oscar, transformed the meal into a sensory experience, while Long, Giovanni, and Valerio provided service that was both professional and heartfelt. Breakfast the next morning was pure delight. The Eggs Benedict and French toast are a must. Milena and Alessandro made us feel truly at home, and Rose’s gentle hospitality was the perfect finishing touch. A special thank‑you to Marta and Victor for turning this stay into something truly memorable. I will absolutely return.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location . Be aware it is by no means a 5 star hotel . Nothing about it a 5 star . Our room was tiny to the point that we could not open our luggage , opening one piece of luggage took away an ability to seat in the little arm chair that was next to the tiny desk , the only flat surface in the room we had . The sound in the room from some appliance ( do. It know where it was located ) made it very difficult to be in the room . Once you enter the hotel lobby you start smelling a very nasty order that stays with you in the elevator . The bathroom is do tiny that you can barely close the door . The sound of water bubbling or coming up in the sink every time you flash the toilet was very annoying , we complained about it but nothing was done to fix it . We stayed for 3 nights and we did not want to loose time moving to a diff room so we did not ask for it , in my view it should not be needed , we should have a room reflecting a 5 star hotel level from the start. The positive thing that I have to admit is that they did have our room ready once we arrived which was early . We booked it through fine hotels and resorts and I have to say it was a very disappointing experience as we have never stayed at the hotels like that once booked via fine hotels and resorts .

Staying at the oldest hotel in Amsterdam was such an amazing experience! The hotel is beautifully and tastefully designed, with a unique atmosphere and wonderful views over the canals. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. A special mention also goes to the restaurant and its chef – the food was excellent! I definitely recommend trying the pastrami sandwich, and breakfast is an absolute must. I would definitely recommend it and would happily stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam Hotel. The hotel is beautiful and elegant, with an exceptional location right in the heart of Amsterdam and lovely views over the canal. What really made our stay special, however, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming and attentive, always ready to help and making us feel genuinely looked after throughout our stay expecially Emanuele and all the italian staff. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere of the hotel manages to feel both sophisticated and warm. It is the perfect base for exploring Amsterdam, with so much of the city within easy walking distance. A truly lovely experience and a hotel we would happily return to. Highly recommended!
