Staying at the oldest hotel in Amsterdam was such an amazing experience! The hotel is beautifully and tastefully designed, with a unique atmosphere and wonderful views over the canals. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. A special mention also goes to the restaurant and its chef – the food was excellent! I definitely recommend trying the pastrami sandwich, and breakfast is an absolute must. I would definitely recommend it and would happily stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam Hotel. The hotel is beautiful and elegant, with an exceptional location right in the heart of Amsterdam and lovely views over the canal. What really made our stay special, however, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming and attentive, always ready to help and making us feel genuinely looked after throughout our stay expecially Emanuele and all the italian staff. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere of the hotel manages to feel both sophisticated and warm. It is the perfect base for exploring Amsterdam, with so much of the city within easy walking distance. A truly lovely experience and a hotel we would happily return to. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at the Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam Hotel. Everything was excellent from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful, in a fantastic location, and our room was very comfortable. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We also absolutely loved the boat tour organised by the hotel , it was such a special way to experience Amsterdam and one of the highlights of our stay. Breakfast was excellent too. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend the Tivoli Doelen and happily return on our next visit to Amsterdam.

Beautiful hotel, very elegant, Super location, 5 minutes walk from Rokin metro. We easily got the train from Schiphol airport to Centraal, then the metro to Rokin, about 45 minutes total time & approx €15. Service was amazing, everyone we met was so friendly & welcoming, there’s a lovely atmosphere as soon as you enter the hotel. Check in with Omar was easy & effortless. We had city view room on the 5th floor, balcony was ok, small. Breakfast was outstanding! So much choice! We had à la carte so we choose French toast & eggs Benedict, delicious. Also available - bacon, beans, mushrooms, frittata, cereals, pastries, cheese, meat, truly something for everyone. Beautiful location, right on the canal, super breakfast view. Totally recommend, nothing not to like here, understated luxury. We only stayed 1 night & cost was €638 (£530) including breakfast & city tax so it’s a treat but worth it!

Very dirty rooms. Got moved to another room and still dirty. Stained carpets, dried fluid and food on both room chairs. Dried dripping on table. Brown, dried fluid in wall. Sticky hairdryer, broken bathroom shelf. A manager who didn’t seem alarmed about this! Lobby and restaurant nice, but upstairs rooms and hallways need help. Old and charming is one thing, but old and dirty is another. Do not book here!!
