Wonderful hotel! Everything was clean, service was excellent! We went to both bars and loved them. Great value. Thank you Captain! We will be back!!

I used to live a few blocks from the Cook. Now when I visit on business, I stay here. Many eating options and multiple restaurants within walking distance. If you get the chance, the Crow’s Nest offers spectacular views and the food is delicious!

Historic hotel with decor of old lodges of the past. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed and pillows were luxurious. Lots of wood accents and crown molding, and granite counters for the bathroom. We ate at the crows nest, and had an excellent meal and service and beautiful views of the bay. The hotel has three towers and the lobby that connects all three with a variety of restaurants and services and shops.

Arrived early at 11, luggages checked. Medicine required refrigeration. Explained daughter needed to change insulin pump by 3. Desk said they'd have housekeeping prioritize our room. Should be 1-2 hours. Checked back at 2:30 not ready but our friends room was ready. Checked back at 3:30 not ready. Check in is normally 4 pm and at 4:40 room still not ready. Princess cruise desk line was 20 people long the first time, 40 the second and at 4:40 over 100 people long. Worst check in experience at a hotel in my 40 years of traveling. Strongly suggest not going with princess or going to Captain. The public areas are nice but the rooms are like motel 6.

Spent one night to start our land tour of Alaska. We were booked through our Holland America cruise. We were blown away as this hotel far exceeded our expectations. We had a huge suite with a living room, huge bathroom and bedroom. Very comfortable bed, nice linens, very clean bathroom stocked with everything we needed. Location was perfect, the whole downtown area was easily walkable. Very quiet, would definitely stay here again.
