I recently went to a party celebrating a friend’s birthday party at the Whale’s Tail. Everyone was great and having a good time but unfortunately I was treated very poorly by security staff that evening. The security guard was very rude, unprofessional and even aggressive in his behavior when I was going to the front desk to file a complaint against him. He used poor judgment and exhibited disregard and disrespect to a guest. Therefore I am giving the experience a 2 out of 5 stars.

Hotel stop from a land and sea cruise. Room was spectacular. Humongous and clean and quiet. Great views of the Harbor. Had breakfast at the Pantry. Ann was so pleasant. Breakfast was good - hot and served quickly. That was the Good. The Bad - could not get into the signature restaurant Crows Nest. Asked and was told to go somewhere else. Wouldn’t go to Fletchers due to Madison (see prior review). Friends got into the overpriced Crows Nest. Food was good. Overpriced. And they froze under the air conditioner. Was told it was an engineering issue. Really? Duh. The Rude - just about everyone. Met our friends for a drink at Fletchers. There always Madison yelling at guests and staff. Brian at the front desk could by bothered to answer basic questions. Directed us to the cruise table. He rolled his eyes and gave a sigh. The people directing you to the bus were yelling. The bartenders threw the drinks on the table. No one looks happy. They don’t want you there. Maybe it’s an Alaska thing. IDK. I won’t be back. But I said that before I came.

Consists of 3 towers and 5 restaurants in downtown area that can easily be walked. Older venue for sure but immaculately maintained. Staff friendly and helpful. Room a decent size and bed was very comfortable….
