A great hotel experience
Great hotel. Relaxing ambiance and very friendly staff. As a business Traveller you immediately get destressed. Some nice small fountains give it a "spa like" vibe. A big 5 star rating.

Rude waiter told me off for throwing ice out of my glass onto the grass….
We have a villa near La Zambra and often pop in for a sundowner with friends. 5 of us went this evening and I ordered a pink Gin & tonic, the glass was absolutely full to the brim with ice… the waiter poured the gin which wasn’t the usual Spanish big measure (which suits me as I hate strong drinks) and I thought I won’t be able to taste the Gin with all that ice so as we were sitting outdoors I took 3 pieces of ice out of the glass and threw them on the grass. The rude waiter told me off and said “next time ask for less ice”. I said it’s only water on the grass not doing any harm but he wasn’t happy. Spoilt the atmosphere for a nice relaxing evening. I felt like a naughty school child… He should learn that the customer is always right. We didn’t stay too long after that…

Something has changed
Our third visit in 3 years to this hotel, and loved it. Great location, lovely and quiet, views o er the Mijas Golf Course. However I have to say on this occasion I’ve been disappointed! Staff at breakfast inattentive, this morning whilst being sat, no drinks were offered, had to get our own, and for our egg order we had to track a server down. Service around the pool too has been intermittent. Do have a bell system by beds but so Times you have to wait too long and even if you go to the bar yourself, they won’t serve you 🤷♂️ We ate in the restaurant on our first night, the steak was not great, very fatty, but apart from that ok. Rooms are still nice, rest of the hotel spotlessly clean, just something not right with the staff & service, which previously has always been excellent.

Superb hotel in every respect
Been here a number of times . Only one way to describe La Zambra Stunning with fantastic staff 😀. Anyone who doesn’t appreciate this establishment has obviously got serious issues.

Stunning resort
We came for friends 60 th which passed without any recognition, had told them a few times. Otherwise the Staff were outstanding. Junior suite garden view was a wonderful room, very chic neutral decor. Lovely Balcony with view buildings , best views with mountains sunset are over the golf course side. Stunning spa with indoor pools. Great massage. They do yoga classes included at 9am most mornings with a great Irish teacher. Food was superb, lovely breakfast in Palmito. This was our fave dinner too. The other dinner Picadir was ok. Good and drink is quite pricey but excellent.
