We had such high hopes, but unfortunately, our expectations were not met. I will say when we arrived getting through customs at the airport was much easier than expected. We had previously been to Grand Cayman and Turks Caicos and the experience was much more streamlined. We flew into Saint Martin and took a boat ride over to Anguilla, which was also a great experience. No issues. When we were arrived at the Aurora, which was in the late afternoon, our room was still not ready, and we had to wait until the early evening to get settled into our room. One of the first things we noticed was large construction machinery near our villa as well as the beach which were running at all hours of the day starting in the early morning. Can I have some of that if there nobody’s gonna eat it?Secondly, the customer service was average. At times, we almost felt that we were annoying the staff with simple requests. Many of the advertised amenities were not available which included a tennis, the rock climbing wall. Many of the food items on the menus were not available. Room service and turn down service were inconsistent and an inexpensive toiletry item was broken. The island itself was beautiful and our best times were actually the experiences we had off the resort. Will return to Anguilla but never to the Aurora.

The hotel is beautiful. Our rooms were fantastic. The beach is stunning. The service is bad to rude. The beach / towel people are outright rude. They won’t set up chairs until 10 am. They come at 4:45 pm to clean up the towels and dirty-eye you until you leave. We recently had a rain storm and when we asked for towels after the guy told us no because “they’ll get wet”. The restaurant staff are slow and also rude The service in the rooms always forgets to replace the mugs or tea or whatever. At this price point I expected way way more from the service.

The resort was great for a family of 4. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the beach and the facilities, including the pool and water park. I do wish they had better sleeping options to accommodate families - the beds are small and only one cot allowed per room so makes it tough for families > 4 and/or with older kids. Overall, a very positive experience.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable and had a lovely view of the ocean from our balcony. The staff was amazingly gracious, always willing to help and take care of restaurant reservations, golf tee times or arrange for rides to restaurants. On property restaurants were also very good, and breakfast at Chef’s Table was outstanding.

Our stay at Aurora Anguilla was nothing short of exceptional — and that’s saying a lot considering our trip home took an unexpected turn. We were traveling with kids and found ourselves suddenly stranded due to ferry issues, turning what was supposed to be a departure day into an extended stay. What could have been incredibly stressful was handled with such grace, professionalism, and genuine care by the Aurora team. The property itself is stunning — serene, beautifully designed, with that effortless Anguilla luxury that feels both elevated and relaxed. The beach is pristine, the rooms are immaculate, and every detail feels intentional. But what truly sets Aurora apart is the people. Keresha, the Front of House Manager, went above and beyond before we even knew we needed help. She proactively began negotiating on our behalf to secure coverage for our extended stay and worked tirelessly to ensure we were settled comfortably for several extra days. From coordinating accommodations to assisting with laundry and making sure our family had everything we needed, she handled it all with warmth and calm confidence. Travel disruptions can reveal a lot about a hotel — and Aurora proved it is a place that truly takes care of its guests. We arrived already loving the property. We’re leaving deeply grateful for the experience and the incredible team behind it. We will absolutely be back — hopefully next time with a smoother departure, but knowing we’re in the best hands either way. We are so grateful to the entire staff for going above and beyond— Javed, Jermaine, Kevin and so many more made our trip so memorable!!
