My husband and I visited the hotel this past May to celebrate our (belated) anniversary, and overall, we had a truly unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beauty, elegance, and serenity of the property. The hotel strikes a perfect balance between refined luxury and relaxed charm. It truly feels like a private estate rather than a typical resort. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with champagne, a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, and a selection of treats and fruit in our room. It was a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for the rest of our stay. Later in the week, the General Manager surprised us with another handwritten note and additional gifts. These personal touches made us feel genuinely appreciated and celebrated, and we were so grateful for the attention to detail. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and spotless throughout our stay. Housekeeping was exceptional. Beyond simply cleaning, they went the extra mile in thoughtful ways. For example, they placed sunglass cleaning wipes beside our sunglasses and neatly coiled our phone charger cords. These small gestures did not go unnoticed and reflect a team that truly cares about the guest experience. Dining at the hotel was another highlight. Lunch at Louroc was outstanding. The food was delicious and the view was absolutely breathtaking. One evening, we dined at the Eden-Roc Restaurant, and not only was the meal superb, but we found ourselves seated near an A-list celebrity, which was incredible. Breakfasts were consistently excellent, but what made them especially memorable was the service, particularly from Rosa at Eden-Roc Restaurant. She was kind, attentive, and sincerely hospitable. She remembered details from our previous conversation and asked how our day in Cannes went. Interactions like this elevate a stay from great to exceptional. That said, there were a few aspects of our stay that didn’t quite meet the high standards the hotel otherwise upholds. Months prior to our arrival, we contacted the hotel to confirm that all facilities would be open in early May, just after the seasonal reopening. We were assured by Marie that they would be. Later, we were informed by the concierge (still before our arrival) that Giovanni’s would be closed, which we accepted. However, upon arrival, we were disappointed to discover that several other amenities were also unavailable—including the casual café, the Juice & Ice Cream Bar, and the rooftop Eden-Roc Lounge. The weather was warm and beautiful, so the closures felt unnecessary. Clearer communication in advance would have allowed us to better plan our trip or even consider coming later in the season when all the facilities were available. I am happy to see that the hotel’s website now lists restaurant opening dates. This is an excellent and necessary improvement for future guests. There were also a few operational missteps during our stay. One morning during breakfast at Eden-Roc, a hotel-employed painter was actively touching up a wall directly next to the buffet. It was unexpected and, frankly, out of place during food service hours. Maintenance of this kind is typically done in the off-season or outside of guest-facing hours. On another morning, while enjoying breakfast outdoors adjacent to Bar Bellini, we witnessed several female guests exiting the hotel and being splashed by dirty water from above. A hotel staff member was hosing or sweeping down a balcony, unaware—or seemingly unconcerned—that guests were beneath. The women, understandably upset, shouted up in French, but the staff response was minimal. Incidents like this detract from the polished experience one would expect at a property of this caliber. At checkout, we discreetly mentioned both of these incidents to the front desk, but there was some confusion. The staff member initially misunderstood and thought we were referring to a guest painting a canvas, not a hotel staff member painting a wall. She also seemed unaware of the balcony incident. While we didn’t expect compensation, a more informed and attentive response would have gone a long way in reinforcing a sense of professionalism and accountability. Lastly, the arrival experience could be more coordinated. Security at the front gate took our name, but there was no communication to the valet team. When we pulled up, they had no idea who we were and asked for our name. In luxury properties, it’s not uncommon for security to radio ahead so that arriving guests are greeted personally, by name ("Welcome Mr. and Mrs. ______"). It’s a small touch, but one that makes a big impact. Unfortunately this was something negative that stood out to us immediately upon our arrival. Despite these issues, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return. The beauty of the property, the high standard of overall service, and the thoughtful details made our trip incredibly special. With a few refinements in communication and operations, this hotel will continue to uphold its reputation as one of the world’s premier destinations. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team, and especially to Rosa, for making our anniversary trip so memorable. We look forward to returning again soon, hopefully when every part of this stunning resort is in full swing!

We have been going to Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc with my spouse every October for the past four years to celebrate a birthday and stay there. It is one of the most iconic hotels I have ever seen. I can say that the garden design is the most beautiful design I have ever come across in a hotel. The spa experience was very good. Most of the staff have not changed over the years, and they provide a service that harmonizes with the hotel’s character, which is something rare to find. The food is delicious and the rooms are spacious. Even the old pet cemetery next to the main building proves how deeply rooted and elegant the hotel is. Most likely, we will continue staying at this hotel every October.

After spending a few days in Cannes at the Carlton Hotel, which felt unexclusive and unrefined, my wife and I switched over to the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes. We had heard so much about this ultimate destination from friends and family—many calling it the epitome of luxury travel—so we decided it was time to experience it firsthand. Hotel du Cap did not disappoint. It truly was the ultimate travel destination. Service – Classic old-world European flair, delivered with sincere warmth and a genuine desire to please. Grounds – Manicured and beautiful, like something out of a French château. Everything was spotless, landscaped perfectly, and gave off a classic elegance. Accommodations – Very clean, comfortable, and decorated in traditional French taste. The air conditioning worked quietly and perfectly, which made a huge difference during the humid heat wave while we were there. Beach & Pool – The staff were excellent and always made sure we had shade and space to relax. The cliffside views over the Mediterranean were simply stunning, making it one of the most beautiful spots we’ve ever stayed. Restaurants – Because of our restricted diets we couldn’t fully enjoy the food, but we still experienced the excellent service. More than anything, dining by the glass walls with the sea stretching out in front of us was unforgettable—it felt like sitting right above the water. Refinement & Exclusivity – With only 117 rooms and no outsiders allowed on the property, the hotel felt private, peaceful, and truly special. It was refined in every way, with an atmosphere of real exclusivity. I can’t say enough about Hotel du Cap. It was luxurious, serene, and special in every sense—and I will definitely be back.

We stayed at this wonderful place for 10 days, and everything was simply outstanding: the service is warm, cordial and pure excellence. The setting in the park is absolutely beautiful, and having a cabana by the shore is the most relaxing experience. The food in the Grill Restaurant is very good, and the outdoor restaurant " Giovanni's" offers a picturesque setting between the pine trees with very good Italian cuisine. It was our favourite place for dinner. We enjoyed the saltwater pool very much. This is a place where you can relax to the fullest, and even though the hotel is large, there is no feeling that it is overcrowded. If you plan a stay, it is recommended that you book very well in advance.

Everything was wonderful, but just to mention — the ‘Tradition Room two Fountains’ was a bit misleading. It said courtyard view, but in reality it faced the parking area with some artificial greenery, and no fountains in sight Maybe it would be good to mention the parking view in the room description. The hotel is really beautiful, and I think guests prefer honest details — it helps manage expectations and avoids disappointment.
