Lovely hotel, great staff, amazing views over the sea. Bedrooms are clean & spacious. Town centre a few minutes walk. Good value for money.

We paid €2,900 for a one-bedroom suite at Royal Antibes and left feeling that the experience was nowhere near worth the price. The hotel markets itself as a luxury property, but the condition of our suite and the level of service did not reflect that standard. The room had multiple maintenance issues: missing and discolored bathtub caulking, chipped door frames with exposed wood, extremely creaky doors that disturbed our one-year-old’s sleep, and an odd bathtub door that opened, causing water to spill onto the bathroom floor. The televisions also felt comically small for a suite at this price point. Most concerning, we found ants in the room. The hotel attempted to treat the issue with bug spray after we reported it, but finding ants in our accommodation was unacceptable, particularly while traveling with a young child. The ants also continued after the treatment. The service afterward was equally or maybe even more disappointing. I emailed the manager, Yulianna, twice to explain these issues, but received no response. Our interaction with the assistant manager was also far from friendly or welcoming. He also overpromised that Yuliana would return our emails to amend our disappointing stay. Any one of these issues might be manageable on its own, but together they reflect a disappointing lack of maintenance, attention to detail, and guest care. For €2,900, we expected a properly maintained suite and responsive, professional service. There is a clear disconnect between the luxury image advertised online and the experience we actually received. I would encourage anyone considering Royal Antibes to carefully weigh the price against the condition of the accommodations and the level of service. Based on our experience, we would not return.

We stayed there early October after a wedding in Valbonne. On our final night we returned to our bedroom to discover we had been robbed whilst we were out. Several items were taken including a jewellery box full of expensive and sentimental jewellery. Immediately we went downstairs to speak to the receptionist to see if anyone could access the CCTV footage. The receptionist refused to call the manager who was the only one who could review the footage, and he wasn’t due in till 9am the following morning, we were leaving at 7am. We had no choice but to call the police to file an official report. The security guard was exceptionally angry that we had done this asking us ‘was this your fault’ when the police arrived. I’m appalled at how the staff treated us during such a stressful situation, and that this even happened in the first place. I would avoid staying here at all costs!

Good location, had to cross a main road to get to the beach. Had to pay for beds and extra for towels. Communal area outside room looked tired and locks on doors outdated .. prefer card entry than key. Unfortunately anyone could use the lift without needing to walk past reception.

Delayed review. We spent five delightful nights at Royal Antibes in early July in an apartment -- Cap d'Antibes Apartment with terrace sea view. We paid a premium for such a sea-view room and the location, but it was worth it. It is not easy to find such a room in Antibes. We enjoyed the beach club across the street. The service there is excellent. Be sure to reserve your chairs in advance as we did. It is a short walk to the most wonderful bakery and general store next door for breakfast and supplies. The in-house breakfast was also fine. Old Antibes and Juan les Pins and all their restaurants are relatively easy walks, but we did Uber instead. Easy peasy. It took us a couple days to figure out the room-cleaning routine, but all was good in the end.
