Porta Hotel Antigua is a beautiful, old time feel hotel in the city center! The Arc and Central Park are within walking distance. The staff is friendly and patient. I had been texting back and forth with Yuiliana weekly before our arrival and she was always patient and responsive. We had a small room which was very tight with 2 adults and 2 toddlers, I asked for a large room but the front desk stated there were none available. Seems like there was a convention around the same time we were there. We made it work. The food at the restaurant, was yummy!! My husband is VERY picky with foods that don’t have flavor and he was surprisingly pleased with each meal! All staff interactions were very friendly, from the front desk to the dinning hostesses to the housekeepers Oh! And a plus, my husband and I wanted a couples massage but were concerned we had no one to watch our kids. The spa ladies were so gracious to watch them while my husband and I received a relaxing massage! I don’t recall their names but THANK YOU!!! The morning view of the volcano was beautiful! We ended up leaving a day early to stay at another hotel and the staff we accommodating and adjusted. Thank you to all staff!

Perfectly located . A nice and comfy walk from everything and everywhere. Great installations, beautiful architecture and decor. Our room spacious, clean, comfy and exquisite distribution of space. Our bed was perfect resting place after our daily activities in the city. The restaurant was 5/5 and the bar selection perfect 👌. The staff was friendly all around, always with the best disposition. Green area, pool and the view of the volcano surprisingly beautiful.

If you are headed to Antigua Hotel Porta is a great place to stay. The hotel grounds are spacious with a beautiful open courtyard. There is a pool and plenty of loungers. Beside the pool is an open area where you can find two parrots perched high in the tree, a playground for the kids, and the kids club entrance. Around this open area you find the garden rooms, the bar, a lounge area upstairs, and the restaurant. There is a gym and spa area on grounds as well. Across the street there is another area for large events and more rooms. We stayed in this area. The rooms are spacious and offer a water dispenser, a small closet, ironing board/ iron, and safe. The only thing we didn’t have that we needed was a mini fridge. We didn’t ask the front until closer to the end of our stay, but we should have inquired because they said they are available upon request. Our room was towards the very back, along a major street. While most days the noise didn’t bother us, we were there during the Independence Day celebrations and it got pretty loud outside the window, but that wasn’t an everyday occurrence. The showers are large and they provide Shampoo and shower gel, but no conditioner. Our bathroom wasn’t large in the Deluxe King room, only one person inside at a time because door swings in and door is right next to laboratory. The hotel has a colonial look and feel with beautiful touches from furniture to paintings found throughout. When we got hungry or wanted to watch the games the bar area was perfect. We tried the soups and burgers which were all very tasty. The staff was quick and efficient. Marvyn was a great waiter. Johnny, the concierge, was very helpful and always knew the answers to our questions. Up front Rosario made our check in process seamless and when we had an emergency issue come up at the end of our stay, Gabriel took great care to help us. We would definitely recommend this hotel to any of our friends/ Family/ and clients. On a side note: there is a third building that I believe houses the suites. It has it’s on pool, however, we never saw inside this area.

We choose Porta to have friends and family over for our wedding in Antigua and everyone absolutely loved the hotel! Paula Salazar was an absolute pleasure to work with and helped us with our welcome party at the hotel.
