Antigua is the kind of place where local kids chase soccer balls around plaza fountains and marimba bands hold impromptu concerts in the park. You can experience this quaint lifestyle while staying in a luxury at the Porta Hotel Antigua. Part of the Lifestyle collection by Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the hotel offers guests luxurious rooms, amenities, and dining while being set in the heart of the city.

Received a massage in the spa and it was that absolute best massage I’ve ever received. Sophia is a gifted masseuse with healing hands. The spa was top notch and rates up next to the best in the world.

I stayed at Porta Hotel Antigua for three weeks across two separate group trips with my travel group, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The staff was incredibly attentive and kind to all of the girls in our group, always going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. The rooms were very clean and extremely comfortable, and the hotel itself is beautiful and impeccably well-maintained. We loved everything we tried—from the cocktails at the bar to the delicious breakfast and meals at the restaurant. It was always such a joy to return to the hotel after a day out in Antigua Guatemala. The front desk team was also very organized with all of our bookings, and they even accommodated an early check-in for us, which made a big difference after traveling. Overall, it was such a wonderful stay, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Antigua who wants a little slice of oasis during their trip.

An excellent hotel with cute, romantic rooms, beautiful swimming pools, and a delicious restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was within walking distance of the main square and lots of shopping opportunities. The only downside of Antigua was the air pollution.

We arrived around check in time, on Saturday February 14th 2026, for a 2 night stay. This would be our last hotel during our Gate 1 tour. This was a beautiful property. Check in and check out went very well. Everyone we had contact with from the hotel was very nice. Our room was part of a duplex very close to the dining area, and adjacent to the pool, a view of the pool through another small dining area. The room looked good, and smelled good. It was very spacious, and had character. Everything worked well. A fun space. The hotel is in a nice location, on a relatively quiet Antigua street. But still close enough to walk everywhere. The breakfast was amazing. So many yummy options. Mi would absolutely love to stay there again.

We recently spent three nights at this splendid hotel. The staff is outstanding. My wife left her phone at the hotel when we were on our way to another destination, and these people saw to it that the phone was delivered to our next stop. They went above and beyond. Thank you so and by the way, very nice rooms.
