Great location. Very good breakfast. Decent hotel.
A very well located hotel. A few hundred metres into the centre of the town where there are many restaurants. Also a few the other way out of town that we found on our last walk. We felt safe both in the hotel and walking around in the evening. Our first day in Guatemala - trip was about 1 hour from the airport (although ours was extended due to traffic on Easter week parades). Rooms are simple but comfortable. Breakfast very good. Town very interesting to explore - in one or two days.

Beautiful patio with view of volcano
Beautiful patio dining at Porta Antigua overlooking their swimming pool with one of the nearby volcanoes (Fuego I believe) in the background. They have a nice varied menu including Guatemalan dishes and a kid menu. It is spacious and prices are reasonable with fast service!

Exquisite
This was the fanciest place I went to eat during my three months in Guatemala and it did not disappoint. The setting is beautiful, the music gentle, and the staff incredibly helpful and patient with me in my terrible attempts at Spanish. The food- I went for the three course special and both the taste and presentation, were wonderful. Highly recommend.
