Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort Aruba

This resort was recommended by AI after we entered a laundry list of what we like and don't like when traveling. We were hoping to elope and exchange our vows in a private beach ceremony with a photographer, and Angela made that happen. We are thrilled and couldn't have asked for a more special memory for our elopement. The entire experience — from check-in, to our beachfront room, to the beach umbrella reservation, to every touch of service — was extremely thoughtful and clearly intended to be personalized. We stayed a full week and loved the quiet, no music during the day, adults-only atmosphere. All of the other guests were like-minded and respectful. If you want to recharge and enjoy truly personalized customer service on beautiful Eagle Beach, this is for you. We will definitely return.

My husband and I chose to stay at Bucuti & Tara to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We chose it based on the website, which was very clear on what it is and what it is not. Quiet, private, eco-friendly, adults-only, right on the beach, and pretty small. What we got in reality was even better than expected. The on-site restaurant is perfect with its sunset views, friendly servers (who offer to take your pic!), lovely music, and well-priced menu. We hung out at the bar almost every night to watch the World Cup. With 12 seats, it feels very intimate but no pressure to make friends if that's not your thing :) The breakfast buffet was incredible—just watch out for the birds, haha! After walking to a restaurant nearby for dinner once, we honestly did not leave the resort again for meals. We did not plan any activities ahead of time. All we cared about was relaxing on the beach and that's exactly what we got. Loved the umbrella booking system. The wait staff were so attentive. Delicious cocktails (my favorite was the agua de coco). We booked the Seabob excursion through the concierge. So magical. Highly recommend. Swam around a shipwreck with sea turtles. Little touches that really set this place apart: There's a bookcase with recent, best-selling novels in case you forgot to bring something to read. The nightly tea service was such a delightful ritual. You wouldn't know it's surrounded by large resorts. There are more chairs than guests, so there's a nice buffer to keep the vibes quiet and chill. This is not a 5-star hotel. Do not expect extravagant rooms with huge soaking tubs and room service. But the attention to detail and cleanliness is simply unmatched which makes it way feel more luxurious than any luxury hotel. It's so cool how sustainable this place is. There is no food waste—you'll see ingredients used in cocktails (hope you like bananas) are also used at the breakfast buffet and in main dishes at dinner. No single-use plastic. Everyone gets these really useful water canteens. Solar power. In many ways, Bucuti felt like home away from home. There were so many repeat guests who had been coming for many years. One lady even brought homemade cookies for her favorite bartenders! It also felt welcoming to all kinds of couples. We hope to join the repeat guest club at Bucuti! It's absolutely the perfect destination to escape from the daily grind and reconnect with your partner.

We’ve been coming here for years for our anniversary. Everyone is so friendly and nice no matter where you go in Aruba. The people at Bucuti & Tara are the best; so friendly, helpful, and kind. This year was our 50th wedding anniversary and we were Surprised with a special dessert after our romantic dinner on the beach at sun down.

My husband and I have traveled in the Caribbean many times and have always stayed at all-inclusive resorts. This was our first trip to Aruba and we decided to stay at Bucuti and Tara even though it is not all-inclusive and we are so glad we did. It is a small resort which gives it a very intimate and cozy feel. The beach is absolutely stunning. There are two restaurants at the resort, Elements and Terra. There is an included breakfast buffet at Elements which has beachside seating. We enjoyed this each morning. They also serve lunch and dinner. Dinner was always amazing. Terra serves dinner only and we ate there once. The food and service here are five star but be warned it is a small space and the seating is close. During our week stay we only ate off-site once and regretted it. You will not want to dine anywhere else! One of the things we absolutely loved was the beach umbrella reservation system. Each day at 5:00 pm B&T opens reservations for the next day. This is accessible on their app. It allows you to choose the umbrella and chairs you want to use the next day. No more getting up at the crack of dawn to “save” a seat! And because there are more umbrellas than rooms, you’re guaranteed to get a spot. The service is also 10/10. The staff is there to make the guests happy and they do it with a smile. From the concierge service to the wait staff and the room staff, everyone at Bucuti and Tara helped make our stay one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. We can’t wait to go back!

This was our second time at the resort. We both agreed that it is the most exquisite beach experience we’ve had. The chairs, cold towels, fresh cut fruit, smoothies, service and the gorgeous view were top notch. We will certainly return. The staff made sure to meet our every need and then some. Bravo 🙌
