From start to finish, Grand Malia Hotel in Arusha exceeded every expectation. When I made a booking error, the team handled it with grace, speed, and generosity, turning what could have been a stressful situation into a seamless experience. Their professionalism and warmth set the tone for my stay. I was equally impressed when a colleague, in town for a conference, developed an ear infection. The management didn’t hesitate – they immediately and graciously arranged help, going above and beyond in a way that you rarely see in hospitality today. Beyond the exceptional service, this is simply a stunning property. The views are breathtaking, the rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, and the food is without question some of the best you’ll find in Arusha. It blends European standards with a very real commitment to sustainability, including support for the local SANAA social enterprise project. This balance of luxury, ethics, and genuine care makes Grand Malia stand out as an industry leader. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Arusha – whether for business, leisure, or conferences. It is not only a beautiful place to stay but a true example of what responsible and gracious hospitality should look like.

We stayed at the Gran Melia twice on our recent Africa adventure. After hiking Kilimanjaro the Gran Melia was an amazing place to recover and recharge for our safari which followed. The hotel grounds are a beautiful oasis in the city. About 8 hectares of plants, coffe production and farm to table gardens and chickens. We suggest you wander over and check out the gardens producing the meals at the Malia. Speaking of food, amazing! The roof top restaurant looks over the grounds with an amazing view of Mt Meru. Pool side food and drink was also excelllet. The staff and service at this hotel are top notch and put the crown on this 5 star experience. We highly recommend this hotel

It’s hard to tell what is more amazing about this hotel, the actual environment itself or the staff. Eva at the front desk is basically an angel and Happiness in the spa gave me the best massage ever. This hotel was completely worth it.
