A world of retro-glamour awaits at Romazzino, A Belmond Hotel in Costa Smeralda. Designed by famed architect Michele Busiri Vici and inaugurated by the Aga Khan IV in 1965, the Sardinian icon is a haven of whitewashed walls, flowing lines and arched windows. Presiding over a long, private sandy beach on the emerald bay, it envelops guests in fragrant gardens and captivating sea views. Villeggiatura takes on new meaning as guests sail along Porto Cervo’s aquamarine waters and time-sculpted cliffs, luxuriate in nature-inspired wellness treatments and dine on exquisite chef-led cuisine. Warm Sardinian hospitality, spacious accommodation and alluring experiences for all ages make it the perfect family retreat.

The hotel is run down and rips you off at every chance they get. 38 euros for a watermelon juice in the beach 90 euros for a rubber boat to take you 50 meters to your boat for a day trip charging for non motorised toys on the beach. There virtually no restaurants at dinner copy for one over priced average fine diner so you’re forced to pay 100 euros to go into town to eat. The rooms apparently renovated but basically a coat of paint. Noisy old aircon dated bathrooms cheap linens etc etc we paid 3300 euro for a suite that was about 3 star. Hotel is dead at night as they have no restaurants expect one. I complained about being ripped off 90 euros for a ride to my boat and didn’t even get a response. No staff remembered our names the taxi service was disorganised and we got ripped off one night being charged 300 euro for a round trip into town.

The best of the best. Excelent and professional service. Pure bliss. Stunning views. An unbelievable location. A truly unique place. This is the kind of unforgettable experience. The wine connoisseur is very profesional.

Spectacular views, beautiful beach and sublime service. The old rooms are a dated, but have some Sardinian touches. The new rooms are modern and luxurious, but could be anywhere in the world.

A most beautiful setting with wonderful beach with beach view, beach setup and beach service. For a vey expensive ($3,400 and up per night) and alleged five star hotel , We found the f and b and its’s service to be mediocre. We were also disappointed in maid service that did a mediocre service (given the price ) and actually forgot to give us turndown services two nights (out of 4). Although the concierges are very polite and try to be helpful, their coordination for drivers was less than dependable. We also were disappointed with the concierge desk whom arranged for a boat cruise for us one day. The boat was less than clean, had no swim stuff (noodles, floats etc) and a captain whom did not speak English, despite assurances from the concierge that he would. Additionally, the hotel packed us a picnic lunch for the boat (5 hours) which was delivered with no ice or refrigeration (also no fridge on boat) and not nicely packaged but thrown in to boxes. We have stayed at other five star hotels in Italy and France where the bad and mediocre service described above does not occur. Belmond Hotels only starting managing this property in 2024. Perhaps they need more time to raise the service standards that Belmond Hotel chain is know for.
