Reviews for Miramar La Cigale, Hotel Thalasso & Spa

Nice but.........

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We had an overnight at 'Mirimar La Cigale' during a quick 3 nights hop over to France. The hotel is within easy walking distance of restaurants and bars on Arzon Marina. The hotel is attractive enough with a touch of luxury but a little too modern for us. Reception was friendly and efficient and check in was quick and we only waited a short time for our room to be ready. The room itself was spacious with good furnishings and a small balcony with views towards the sea. The shower and bathroom were fine and easy to operate with a constant shower temperature. My wife felt there should have been hair conditions included not just shower gel/shampoo combined. There were minimal coffee/tea facilities and it took some time finding out how to switch the machine on, but the coffee was good. My biggest frustration was the fancy operation of the lights with master switches hidden in drawers each side of the bed. I couldn't, even after 30 minutes of searching, operate all the lights to switch them off at night so just ended up switching the main master switch off after seeking help from Reception. My biggest complaint is that for room only (no breakfast included) the price of £350 for one night, albeit in a slightly larger room than standard is pushing the boundaries. As 'swish' as the hotel was, we wouldn't return and didn't find it good value for money. Perhaps we would have had a slightly different opinion had we used the swimming pool or Spa facilities but on a short visit, time didn't allow.

Excellent Hotel, Beach Views!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 months ago

Beautiful spa hotel designed to look like a cruise ship. We did not use any of the spa services but did, however, swim in the beautiful salt water indoor pool, which was so relaxing. Our hotel room was quite spacious, with comfortable beds and an outdoor balcony with a view of the beach. Breakfast was excellent and restaurant on site very good. The hotel is a short 5 minute walk to the harbor with restaurants and shops. Highly recommend!

Beyond Ship Shape

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 11 months ago

This hotel looking more like a ship than a hotel is a very good hotel with a wonderful staff. Located adjacent to the busy sailboat harbor with many nice restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel itself has a very nice restaurant with bar itself. The topper is that we unfortunately left several items in the room when we moved onto the next hotel on our Normandy tour. We emailed the hotel what we left. They found the items we left plus two more. They forwarded these items to us back in the States on their dime. They were marvelous. Thank you very much.

Perfect place to relax

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed March 23, 2025

We spent 3 nights and 4 days, enjoying the spa facilities and lovely surroundings . You can do a couple of very nice walks all along the beaches and coast paths nearby. You can also walk to port Arzon. We booked a thalassotherapy. The rooms are comfortable and spotless, the spa is clean and pleasant. Restaurant and bar are great. Don’t forget to go to the beautiful heated salted pool at the very top of the building. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a rest with peace and quiet. The staff at the reception/ front desk were welcoming and I want to thank Coline in particular and Nicolas the concierge. We hope to come back.

This hotel does not live up to a 5 stars hotel experience and standards.

This hotel does not live up to a 5 stars hotel experience and standards. On the positive, great location, nice building, nice rooms, very quiet and peaceful. On the negative, No welcoming staff, a single concierge acting as doorman, butler and valet when available and during day time only. You basically have to park your car yourself and carry your luggage(s) when the concierge is not available, For breakfast, buffet only. If you wish to iron a shirt, there is no iron nor iron board available in the hotel. Dry cleaning service only. I had better customer care and experience in 4 stars hotels. This is simply not acceptable.
