If you visit Asheville you must experience the Omni Grove Park Inn. The facilities are amazing. The spa is world class. My wife spend a day at the spa every visit. The dining is excellent and the view are spectacular. You will not be disappointed.

We plan a wedding event and book the hotel for the wedding and all of our rooms yet they decided to put the person who is paying in a subterranean a basement room after they make us wait 4 hours . Inexcusable behavior and zero accountability or respect. Their offer of a higher room but not what I reserved and paid for. Zero customer care!!!

A wonderful place for relaxation. The views are magical. The spa is unparalleled. The staff is very attentive and make it a wonderful stay. The only con that I have is the strange EV charging rule where you have only 6 hrs before you are charged 5 dollars/hr for "idling"? Most EVs won't get a full charge after 6 hrs and people usually charge at night. I would recommend changing this to at least 8 hrs so EVs can charge overnight to full capacity without someone having to wake up, unplug and restart the process. It is unnecessarily cumbersome. With all of the emphasis on the environmental impact from the hotel and its setting, this stood out as odd.

Stayed two nights for a family event that was being held at the Grove Park Inn. Good-amazing view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Downtown Asheville. The staff are generally helpful but they are expecting a tip. The sports complex/fitness center was fantastic. They had everything you need for exercise plus some fun stuff for the family. Bad-very expensive. The rooms are what you would get at the average three start hotel. However, you will pay triple the price. The room was damp and it was impossible to turn on the shower without getting soaked with cold water in the process. The food is mid, but you will pay double. They say it is family friendly but the staff are annoyed by kids and may try to tell you the restaurant is completely booked to avoid kids. If you want to impress your girlfriend for one night, go for it. If you are looking for a family vacation spot, the Biltmore House Hotels are probably a better choice.

Right up front let me say that if you’re going to go here, make reservations for the spa, golf and meals way ahead of time. If you don’t, you’ll be left without. That happened to us on our first trip there and we learned quickly If you wanna feel pampered, this is the place. It’s not your typical resort hotel and I think that’s one of its charms. You have the rustic feel and look of a mountain mansion, but with the amenities of a five star hotel. We’ve stayed in the Vanderbilt wing before, but this time stayed in the main hotel And I was pleasantly surprised. I absolutely love that they stayed with the original decor in the wood furniture. There’s a giant size tub that’s just aching to be used. Remember to bring some bath bombs with you.. I loved that the windows actually open and have Screens. We could hear the waterfall that leads to the spa and also feel the cool clean mountain air. I could tell that it’s been updated but still had the original feel of the hotel Be aware that this is one of those places that has fees tacked on to the room rate. Taxes, of course, but also resort fee per day and parking fee per day. And of course there’s a lot of hands-on service there so you’ll be needing Money for gratuities. It’s all about luxury and service and the cost reflects that. The spa is a unique experience and worth spending the entire day there. The fees for the use and amenities reflect that also. It is a quiet peaceful place where NO electronics are allowed. There’s several hot tubs, lap pool, mineral pool, plunge pool, Relaxation room, silent space, hot sauna, dry sauna, inhalation room. Etc. etc. etc. Also, there’s an outdoor pool and on a nice day The café associated with the Spa will come around and take orders. Very near the property, but not owned by the property is the Grovewood Gallery. If you have any interest whatsoever in woodworking, glasswork, jewelry making, and pottery please be sure to check it out. There’s also an antique car museum right next to it. I read where people say it’s very inconvenient that the outdoor and indoor pool associated with the hotel requires a van trip parentheses provided parentheses but actually if it was on site, it would really disrupt the feel of this place. The staff are extremely accommodating as you would expect. I didn’t pass by a single employee of this hotel without them acknowledging me to say hello and ask how is your day going. Because of the expanse of the place, Accessibility for those with mobility issues could be a problem. The lobby is huge, the terrace has many stairs and there are long hallways leading to shops, rooms and restaurants. That expanse though gives way to coziness in that there’s very many groupings and places where you can be alone or gather up in small groups. The lobby has groupings of couches and wingback chairs in different areas plus the two main fireplaces with rocking chairs in front. And the terrace that overlooks the subterranean spa, golf course and then mountains in the distance is a great place to meditate or read a book or have some quiet conversation. In the world of cookie cutter Hotels, it’s so nice to visit a place with some personality, but also places to Retreat to.
