The magnificent Giomici Castle dates back to the 11th century and is located in the heart of Umbria, between Perugia, Assisi and Gubbio. Recently, the castle has been completely restored and converted into a welcoming property, where guests can expect a peaceful ambience and formidable hospitality. The Castle is the ideal destination for a romantic or family getaway, ideal for visiting many of the most beautiful cities of Umbria and to celebrate special events. The rooms have been renovated with the utmost care and wherever possible we have preserved the castle's original design by using original materials and fittings. All rooms have lovely views of the surrounding hills and the Apennines Mountains.

The Giomici castle lays in a wonderful place and is a relaxing well maintained ancient building where you can have a peaceful rest from everyday life. With a beautiful panoramic view it is perfect to spend a long WE. Don't miss to go on the tower as the sightseeing from there is invaluable. What I would propose to get maximum rate: food and drink at the castle is poor choice: what you find there is tasting but there's not really a choice (I.g. if you are vegan or vegetarian it might be challenging); no coffee in the room... that's a no go in 2026. Tea bags was there...I would expect some coffee as well. The local beer was great, but the staff leaves early and there's no really a "bar service" unless you book it in advance. With these small improvements you could deliver a perfect service (PS- same at the pool! Offering some aperitif there would be a plus!) because Giomici has no other service nearby and your guests would be happy to take food and drink there.

Lovely authentic castle stay, room was exactly like a castle room, dinner was very pricey for what you get, not worth the money. Breakfast was solid with cold meats, cheese, eggs and some pastries Used the common area for afternoon glass of wine. Nice fireplace but staff said no to making a fire sadly even though it was freezing. I wouldn't stay more than a night but good location to visit surrounding towns.

The good parts of staying here are really good. The room was comfortable and quiet. Beautiful decor, history all around, it’s a lot of fun. We walked the whole castle. It’s really interesting, from the courtyards to the church to the hallways. They really push having dinner. It’s a bit expensive, and not as good as we expected. It was good, just not really good. The staff is on top of everything to make your stay great. They are all friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. The music that was played during dinner was so outstanding. It’s a really cool place to stay. BUT…… I have two complaints. 1.) we were inundated with emails and messages on Booking. I mean over whelmed! I’m estimating over 30 messages in the couple of days leading up to our stay. From pushing attendance at dinner to buying breakfast to time of arrival. It was way, way, way too much. If you need to email me, do it all in one message. 2.) I guess they can’t help it due to location, but wifi is spotty at best. We couldn’t get it in our room. So, stay here knowing you won’t have wifi, knowing you will see really cool facilities, eat alright food, and be served by great people.

The absolute best night I had in Italy. The castle was amazing and the view spectacular. Everyone was super friendly and Marco went above and beyond welcoming us, giving us a tour and helped make our stay extraordinary. I would highly recommend staying here.
