About the Hotel

A modern marvel located inside an ancient city, NJV Athens Plaza - a Preferred Hotels & Resorts property, part of Preferred Hotel Group - swells with sophistication in this bustling Greece metropolis. Ideally located in Constitution Square, next to the Greek Parliament, this urban oasis offers spectacular views of the Acropolis. A lasting first impression begins inside the jeweled lobby, with its swirl of lounge chairs and stone embellishments. Members of the Parliament often descend upon the hotel for leisurely lunches and socializing. The compilation of rooms and suites evokes a chic and contemporary feel, with relaxing neutral tones and deep crimson accents. Suites have a designer presence, with influences from Ralph Lauren and Versace, plus jutting balconies and soundproof walls that provide a cocoon of comfort.

Reviews for NJV Athens Plaza

Cruise ship quality and worn down

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

So you can tell this hotel was very nice 30 years ago. Today’s travelers will find a cramped lobby constantly full of cruise ship luggage. Its tiny slow, elevators and cafeteria food make it a pass. Watch out for the super slippery and dangerous bath floors. One fellow traveler slipped and fell and spent the night in the hospital with a head injury. There are nicer places to stay, but the location is great.

GHreat choice for Athens city center

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Recently renovated. It is located in front of Syntagma Square, opposite the Hellenic Parliament and within walking distance to the Acropolis of Athens and the Acropolis museum and all places of interest, such as museums, Plaka, Monastiraki, Kolonaki, shopping and night life districts. Also, just half an hour drive away from the seafront. Some deluxe Acropolis rooms can be offered with magnifiscent views of the Acropolis.

So much noise

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I just did not sleep. The external noise as much as the noise from the rooms corridor, was just unbearable. Doors slamming all night long, and people screaming on the road. The hotel is old. No value for money. Extremely expensive breakfast. I will not visit again.

Great location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

This hotel is in a great location. It is walking distance to Plaka and other sites. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast buffet was good. Our room was a bit dreary, as the “window” faced inside, so no sunlight. Room, however, was very clean.

Great place to stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

It is a great place to stay, close to everything. Parliament building across street so easy to watch changing of the guard. Can walk to old olympic stadium. Restaurant is good and varied menu. Beds and pillows are comfortable . Breakfast has lots to choose from.
