The Hotel Britomart

This hotel is in a great location and the style is off the charts. The thoughtful design, obvious commitment to the environment and service were top notch. Breakfast was superb and we had a lovely stay. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the Rangihoua sweet for the weekend and had the most amazing experience. The architecture of the building, the friendliness of the staff, the amazing food - it all exceeded our expectations!

“You made the best hotel choice in Auckland”, one of the tour organisers told me when dropping me off to Hotel Britomart, and I did agree. The hotel is elegant, stylish, and ideally situated - Viaduct Harbour, Auckland Art Gallery, Sky Tower and ferry piers are all within walking distance, and most tour operators pick up from the hotel directly. The rooms are comfortable, functional and very clean, with some amazing views. There is also a well-equipped gym, and a cosy restaurant and bar with some wonderful food & wine choices. Service is excellent. Overall, a fully deserved “Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best” badge.

We enjoyed our stay here. Good car valet service on arrival - the hotel is located down a small side street (check Google maps carefully as we got caught out by right turn for buses only). Friendly welcome on arrival. We were able to stay on a room accessible via stairs as I don't use elevators and the security for this was very good. Our room was very small considering all of our luggage but the room rate is good value given the excellent location. Britomart is a really nice area with access to some excellent restaurants. We appreciated the hotel recommendation for Amano which was great. We visited over Easter and the main restaurant was shut on the Monday which meant that there wasn't any room service - it would be helpful to know this in advance. Breakfast was included and was good quality. On our last day we had to suddenly change our plans and leave at 2am to catch a flight. The hotel were very helpful and supportive and provided us with a box of takeaway food which we really appreciated. Everything was on time was great. We liked the modern decor of the hotel. Note that the room windows don't open and the lights are quite complicated. Recommended

The hotel is centrally located to the ferries and to many fine restaurants. The hotel itself is very nice and does not have a "corporate" personality. The staff are great and the restaurant is excellent. I definitely recommend it.
