Great service
I usually stay at the Proper when I’m in Austin. Apart from the captivating ambiance and delicious food, the service is always top notch. I rarely leave reviews but was asked to do so this time. I have nothing but good things to say anyway! Kendra, Stephen & Miguel were on it, from the moment I arrived to the moment I left this trip! There was a mixup in my NYE celebration reservation, and Giulio was polite & quick to accommodate.

Best New Year’s Eve ever
The best dinner at peacock and an incredible night at the quill - Giulio is the best host ever in this proper hotel Rooms were amazing and the entire atmosphere was great

Wonderful Valet and Staff
Stayed at Proper to ring in the new year with family. Hotel was excellent. Staff was all very kind and professional. The most wonderful valet staff imaginable in Dwayne and Kendra, who were warm and friendly with our children and made you feel like you were truly home away from home. Highly recommend.

Great Austin Hotel Choice For Cool Stay
My teen daughter and I had weekend trip to the hotel and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is a great city hotel - beautifully designed with really comfortable, decently sized rooms and in a good location. Warm reception, strong service through and through - front desk, bars, restaurants (we ate at both), valet. There is quite a scene in lobby bars which I had no problem with - it was a cool scene and I didn't hang out there but so folks know. Mexican and Med restaurants served great food. The weather was too cold to use the pool and the hotel is missing a hot tub. Fitness facility is solid. Nice coffee station in morning next to front desk (had a good drink in same room night before which was far more quiet than main lobby bar). Front of hotel was a serious wind tunnel and I asked if it was normal to be blown away entering and exiting the hotel or just weekend we were there and I was told it was pretty normal! No big deal but just FYI - hold on to your hats!
