Do not stay here if you want to sleep before 1am
There is a nightclub downstairs and the hotel’s designers apparently partied too hard and slept through the class on noise insulation, so you’re going to hear loud pounding music until 1am on weekends - fun if you’re at the club, sucks for everyone else. If you complain about it they’ll act super surprised to hear this news (despite the bass being audible everywhere in the first several floors) and offer to move you to a lower tier room farther from the club. Nice bathrooms though.

Nice hotel with an insulting amenity fee
Property is nice! Lobby is buzzing. Rooms are vibey. Nice location. Certainly a cooler feel than some of the other downtown hotels. But this amenity fee?! I don’t typically complain about that; you usually get something… But for $45- WiFi: umm ok Bottled water: it’s tap water in a refillable glass Nespresso: yep, standard Bike rentals upon availability… Access to pool: what?! Isn’t that part of why I chose the hotel. Obviously I get access… Fitness center: see above In room fabric steamed: now we crossing into crazy. Morning coffee: sure Yoga classes: there are none this week Pretty aggressive use of amenity fee. Just increase the price of the room. Not cool from a premium brand

Amazing stay, impeccable service!
One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Having stayed at Marriott properties worldwide, I can honestly say that top to bottom every aspect of the Austin Proper was top tier. The valets that helped us were incredible (thanks Kendra for the cold waters and helping with our luggage!). Edison was SO kind and welcoming when he brought Champagne and snack up — and thank you Natasha for thinking of us and making the stay extra special! Nicholas went above and beyond to help us find special places to eat and drink! The front desk staff were super helpful and welcoming as well - even remembering us and asking about specific details of our stay. We plan to book again and turn this into an annual tradition. Can’t wait to return!

Paris was so kind and great when I was picking up my car! It was a bit confusing when I dropped it off for valet, but had a great experience of Paris when picking it up
