A Wonderful Birthday Stay at Austin Proper
We had a wonderful stay at Austin Proper for my birthday, and everything was exceptional. The hotel is beautiful, with a warm, inviting atmosphere and genuinely welcoming, attentive staff. Our room was fabulous, beautifully designed, incredibly comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could have wished for. We spent long, relaxing hours by the pool and loved the convenient location for exploring Austin and its fantastic restaurants. It was a truly memorable birthday getaway, and I would happily return. Highly recommend.

Standout - Austin’s Finest
Really standout experience. Without a doubt the nicest hotel in Austin right now. The F&B, amenities (gym), and team punch way above their weight/category. I arrived on a Saturday, not realizing that the Longhorns were playing and within 30 minutes of asking for tickets - was gifted them by the hotel. Special thanks to Anis, Elina, and Giulo.

Weekend in Austin
Nice property and convenient location. Wouldn’t give it four stars due to some oddities. Other than a closet, there is no storage space. No drawers or shelves, even on bed stand. Room is very small. One peg in the shower to hang a towel, but no towel racks. Also, at night the hotel lobby and bar turns into a singles place. Crowded and so loud you can’t hear yourself and surely can’t sit and have a quiet drink. Also, I tried to reserve directly with the property and it was cheaper on Expedia. Reached out to the property and they wouldn’t match the Expedia price.

Perfect weekend getaway
We had a great time at The Proper Hotel, amazing food and service as always. Some of the names that stand out from the staff who were super kind and helpful were Megan, Hanna, Kamar, Abraham and Kendra. We will be back for sure!
