Built in 1886 as the showplace of a cattle baron, The Driskill remains a landmark of legendary Texas hospitality. Located in downtown Austin, The Driskill is convenient to all that the city has to offer, including the convention center, opera, symphony, fine dining and shopping. Known as the "live music capital of the world," Austin is home to more than 100 music venues, many within walking distance.

The atmosphere at the Driskill is top notch. You just feel like you are going back to 1890...in an amazing way. The hotel is absolutely beautiful! The staff was wonderful and energized. The room was the cleanest room I have ever had...and the bed was perfect for me...soft and cozy.

Driskill was always charming but the state of the lobby, bar, restaurant and rooms was exceptional. No noise from the night life in the rooms and the AC worked great. Loved the black out curtains. The new MML managed restaurant is terrific and a destination in itself.

Beautiful old school hotel but lacking in amenities . No pool..we had a leak in the toilet and running a hairdryer blew the circuit breaker.

We truly enjoyed our stay for a wedding at the Driskill. I was traveling with my 92 year old grandmother. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. From the valet service to the front desk to the housekeepers, everyone showed the utmost hospitality. I'm going to give a shout out to Emily, Sean and Jake at the front desk and Jackson at Valet. As for the hotel, this is a charming 140 year old hotel. No two rooms appear to be alike. The are comfortable and our 4th floor rooms had wonderful high ceilings. Get a king room if you are traveling with a partner. All of the bathrooms and furnishings are up to date and well maintained. Hotel location is fantastic if you want to be in the middle of it all. Not far from Barton Springs (my favorite swim spot in Austin). The Driskill Grill was swanky and fantastic steak house. Their cafe was also great for breakfast or lunch

INCREDIBLE stay!!! Would highly recommend! Not only is this historical hotel one of the most beautiful buildings in downtown Austin, but the staff, amenities, and experience is beyond exceptional.
