Fairmont Austin

Fairmont Austin is in a great location, nearby Rainey Street and walking distance to the South Congress bridge and 2nd street Entertainment District (even in the hot Texan heat!) Its lobby, bar, cafe and restaurant are all bright, modern spaces with plenty of options for dining and drinks. Service from the front desk team and concierge was top tier, handling our queries with efficiency and extreme politeness, the famed Southern hospitality is thriving here! For us, the room decor felt a little dated but this is more personal taste than anything specific. Construction on the new convention centre is directly opposite the hotel but we didn't experience any noise disruption from this.

I stayed 2 nights and service was amazing. Property is clean and modern. Staff is very attentive. No complaints from me.

Went to Dive in Movie on Tuesday August 18, 2026 and had the time of my life. Incredible view from the rooftop view even saw Venus! Cooled off in pool while watching Pirates of the Caribbean! Best Margarita ever!

I was there for a conference and everything was great; friendly staff, lovely accommodations. One evening after dinner we hung out on the 7th floor patio area where there were games available to play. Very nice.
