Great place to stay in Austin
Had a really great time at the Fairmont in Austin. Everything was great. Front desk staff was awesome. The lobby bar, Revue and Garrison were also top notch.

A Retreat Amidst the Rubble
Downtown Austin is under construction and the Fairmont is hemmed in by it. Immediately upon stepping outside you are pelted with construction dust and the cacophony of heavy equipment. Yet inside is peace and tranquility. The staff was prompt, pleasant and obliging. The standard room was quiet and comfortable although it lacked adequate storage space for two travelers on a several night stay. Even with the construction, it was easy walking distance to the Rainey Historic District which we enjoyed.

Dorky in Revues at breakfast was top notch. 2 superb meals in Garrison. Overall, ALL staff exceptional. Friendly and helpful.
