Fairmont Austin

We stayed for a weekend getaway as part of the Chase Sapphire Reserve The Edit stays. The hotel was beautiful, in a great location, and had all the amenities we could need. Lots of dining options on site - and the food was fabulous all around! Our only complaint was the shower temperature fluctuated rapidly (very hot to ice cold) while showering and required frequent adjustments to maintain a comfortable temperature. Very reminiscent of old homes when someone used water elsewhere in the house and it would affect the shower temperature. We would not have expected this type of issue in such a nice hotel. Aside from that, we had no other complaints!

We stayed at the Fairmont Austin for 7 days over the Thanksgiving holiday and couldn't have been more pleased and can't wait to go back. It's in a convenient location, on the edge of downtown, close to the expressway for getting around, and yet within an easy stroll to Ladybird Lake. We ate lunch in the bar lounge and also ordered from room service and the food was very good. The staff were all wonderful - friendly and helpful. The room was amazing, clean and comfortable and larger than we had expected. We even got a free upgrade without asking for it.

The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. The communal areas are great for events and business gatherings. The staff was friendly, professional and super helpful. The avocado toast was great!

The hotel location is good for access to the nice river walks or the city zones, bus connections are a short walk to the wider Austin area which is excellent value of $2.50 for a day ticket. The room allocated was well away from the lift and quite of hotel sounds but due to only having one double glass outer panel the higher sounds from the adjacent freeway could be heard, ie emergency vehicles or loud car exhaust or motorcycles. These loud sound levels were also be reflected by other builds throughout city, hotels on other city’s have due glass panels one outside and one inside thus making the room soundproofing better. The Fairmount has a number of eateries with good service the prices are high but they are very convenient and nicely decorated with good seating, breakfast is limited to specific el a cart service ie only a buffet breakfast on specific dates.

The Fairmont Austin is a top-tier, service-oriented hotel that truly stands out. I can’t single out just one staff member because every person I encountered was outstanding—professional, friendly, and genuinely committed to great service. The rooms were spotless, and the bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. Overall, an excellent stay from start to finish.
