Fairmont Austin

Lovely hotel and experience, especially good service, good gym, amazingly quiet and comfortable for sleeping despite busy hotel and neighborhood. Only complaint would be about the wifi. We never did get it working and the fee seemed unreasonable for room rate.

Great place to stay overall. Love the fact that offer free self-parking for Texas residents ... a huge plus since most places charge you an arm and leg to park. Only downside is access due to all the construction around the area... getting to the property is just a bit difficult if you do not know the area but overall, great!

We had a wonderful, event filled, 5 days at Austin staying in the centrally located Fairmont. The hotel is lovely and very accommodating staff. Unfortunately, outside the entire front of the hotel is construction happening most of the day. But once the front doors close behind you, the view is great. We loved the pool area. Plenty of room for all and very few kids. The views of Austin were grand. All is close by and UBER is the transportation. Forget about renting a car unless you plan on going out of town. Most everything you need is within walking distance. The only "cons" we had were a broken makeup mirror in the bathroom which was quickly replaced and the safe which had a difficult key pad - but we managed to work around it. The weather was perfect. We will return to finish exploring the city.

This is a great hotel! There are beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, fast elevators, a nice hotel bar, and very friendly front desk - and great meeting spaces and catered food.

We are from Austin, but we decided to have a staycation at the Fairmont in Austin, TX for my wife's 40th Birthday. I really needed for this to be a wonderful stay in order to live up to the expectations of a 40th Birthday!... Several Fairmont employees offered support, starting with a complimentary room upgrade at the front desk, continuing a complimentary bottle of champagne... continuing with complimentary chocolate covered strawberries... At every turn, there was a nice little surprise to make our stay wonderfully luxurious! From start to finish, we were able to truly relax and breathe a little easier at the Fairmont. Thank you to all of the staff who helped to make my wife's 40th Birthday a wonderfully memorable experience! I rarely write reviews, but the whole experience meant so much to us, it is worth taking the time as a thank you for such intentional service.
