Fairmont Austin

We are having such a nice stay at the Fairmont. Had the best humus recommended by amazing Josh Savedra - bartender and amazing host. Friendly and recommended the spa and restaurants within the hotel. Also gave us shopping recommendations. Was so nice looking out for my husband who just had back surgery. Josh helped him out and into his electric scooter.

If you have come to expect a lot from staying at other Fairmont's, then you can lower expectations if you are staying at the Fairmont Austin. The rooms are not much better than what you would get at a standard Marriott. The room's bathroom leaves a lot to be desired and shows that very little thought about detail went into designing them. I have had better water pressure from a locker room shower. There was just one hook for a room that could accommodate 2-4 people. These may seem like little things, but from a high-end hotel, you would expect more. The level of service also left a lot to be desired. On the day of departure, I needed a letter to be mailed. It was stamped and just needed to be placed in outgoing mail. I asked the front desk to assist with this when i checked out and was promptly told "that was not his job, and I could find a mailbox." Again, from my prior stays at other Fairmonts, this is not the level of service expected. In addition, the pool was very overcrowded, and it was a challenge to find seating. The environment at the pool was like going to Vegas, where the music was so loud we had to shout to one another when only sitting side by side in loungers. Overall just a very average stay. If you are looking for a high-end experience, you won't find it here.

Another good stay at a Fairmont hotel. The money which is paid for breakfast does not include any other coffee as the coffee served from a can of coffee. Juices in the morning are not fresh, I expect fresh orange 🍊 juice when order in a hotel like Fairmont. Same as having a cappuccino at breakfast without any extra charge. Avocado sandwich, bread is black burned, does not taste very good as even more important, is not good for your health.

Amazing stay at the Fairmont Austin! The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff provided excellent service. The rooftop pool and downtown views were definitely highlights. Perfect location and overall an incredible experience — would absolutely stay again!

second bad experience in a row. First time air conditioning did not work This time service was very slow, check in took for ever, was told parking was included then they charged me to get my car back. Unfriendly hotel
