About the Hotel
Hotel Magdalena is a hotel project from Austin’s acclaimed Bunkhouse in collaboration with renowned architecture firm Lake | Flato, located on Music Lane in the popular South Congress neighborhood of Austin. At 89 rooms, it is Bunkhouse’s largest hotel to date, and features four new, but distinct, buildings connected by exposed elevated walkways and courtyards, creating a treehouse feel inside the grounds. The property sits at varying elevations, an homage to the slopes of Barton Springs, and the lush grounds are planted with native Texas species including Bigtooth Maples, Redbuds, Meyer Lemon Trees, Yaupon Holly, and Little Gem Magnolia.

Trendy with problems
This hotel is very trendy in a good location. The staff and restaurant are excellent, however rooms along the street suffer from noise from trash and delivery trucks in early morning because of the numerous commercial stores that back against the street. Additionally we found the bed as poor ( too soft and hot). The water pressure was very weak and there was no full length mirror in the room. I would suggest picking an inside room if you stay and perhaps they have rooms with firm beds.

Great experience
Gorgeous hotel. DeAndre helped us from the moment we pulled up to valet and helped us to the front desk and all the way to our room with our bags. He went above and beyond. Thank you DeAndre!

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I have traveled all over the world.
Location has very limited access for arriving guest. Terrible cheap furnishings in the room. No staff to assist just an overall bad experience

Staff helped me find an item I'd left after checkout
Excellent hotel with incredible staff. I left an item of value in my room by accident after checking out, and the staff helped me turn the entire room over to locate it, even looking through linen bags with the the stripped sheets until they found it. Apart from the team's service, the hotel itself is a beautiful blend of natural and architectural.
