About the Hotel

Created in honor of the patron saint of music and poetry, the Saint Cecilia takes inspiration from the great era of the late 1960’s and early 1970’s when a revolution of rock and roll and beat poetry overran the hallowed halls of established convention. We pay tribute to the great creative legacy of our revolutionary idols and to the spirit of the artist that lies within us all.

So bad, I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The positives: the staff, the private ambience for drinks Not positive: the very basics of any decent hotel room were not present. The mattress was the 2nd worst I have ever slept on, it felt like it had been turned upside down and had NO cushion, just box springs. There were no blackout curtains, just a sheer American flag with the outdoor lights shining through all night and the sunrise in the morning - like a frat house room. Last nail in the coffin of any hope of a good nights sleep, was the loud walking / stomping of people above. I’m sure they were just walking in their own room, but it echoed through our room ensuring we woke up when the upstairs did and definitely not getting back to sleep. The only thing funnier than the room also missing a TV remote and the replacement not working, was the price tag they ask you to pay. Considering all of the above, the room should be $99, not close to $1000. An insult added to injury (from the terrible bed) PSA: Don’t book suite 5.

Beautiful Design & Serene Setting

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 months ago

We had a lovely stay and were truly impressed by the beautiful grounds, lush landscaping, and peaceful atmosphere. We’re big fans of design-forward boutique hotels like Chateau Marmont and The Bowery, so we were excited for a similarly curated experience here — and the aesthetic and ambiance absolutely delivered. Charming touches like the in-room record player and thoughtful interiors made the property feel special. There were a few service and comfort details, however, that didn’t fully align with the premium experience we anticipated: no luggage assistance during arrival or departure, poolside service wasn’t available, and amenities like the mini-fridge and toiletries weren’t consistently replenished. Small things like parking logistics and some wear on the interior pool flooring were also noticeable considering the luxury price point. None of these were major issues on their own — and we still left feeling relaxed and grateful for such a unique retreat. With a bit more attention to operational consistency, the experience would fully match the beauty and creativity of the property. We look forward to returning on a future visit.

Poorly Managed Property

This hotel is classified as a five star hotel on it's Google profile. But there are several things about the property, rooms, and staff that don't match five star standards. Our room had practically non-existent lighting. It was terribly dim in both the living room and the bathroom. The only way to get light (during the day) is to open the shades, in which case there is no privacy. (This is a one-story hotel so people are just walking by your room with the windows open). The room lacked basic comforts like a coffee machine, full-length mirror, and an iron / ironing board. When we requested an ironing board, the staff struggled to source one and they did not deliver one for more than 24 hours. My husband could not iron his shirt before we went out to dinner. They don't serve room service until 7am, and there is no coffee in the room. So if you need coffee before 7am, you're in trouble. Housekeeping was okay but did not replenish shampoo / conditioner / body wash. Pool was not clean. Overall, a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience for what amounted to $900 per night.
