Great location with an extra helping of Austin Chic!

Fantastic stay! Cool and chic place with a great view and even better vibe. Typing extra words because it makes me (kinda silly to require 100 characters?)

Hotel Perfection

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My daughter and I stay at The Loren for a girl’s weekend in Austin. The hotel is in a perfect location, is aesthetic perfection, very well maintained and has a very kind staff. Our room was SPOTLESS — the best hotel room we have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect and we would highly recommend. We’ll be back many times!!!

Terrible experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We had an absolutely terrible experience. We chose this hotel for a staycation to enjoy the pool and hotel amenities and also to take our daughter to see the July 4th fireworks downtown. We ended up spending most of our time waiting around the hotel lobby for our room to be ready (with our 3 year old and our dog). Room was finally ready over 2 hours after check in time. Staff was incredibly unhelpful. It was a waste of our afternoon and our $900. The pool was also inaccessible the following morning because they were putting chemicals in the water during regular pool hours.

Fabulous hotel with the best staff in the business. With our son attending UT Austin this Fall we will be staying here every time we visit!

Terrible

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Checked in and shower grate was fully detached and just propped up in the shower with inside drainage exposed. Tried to tell the receptionist many times politely and was just offered to PAY extra money to upgrade. She seemed to not want to make it right and brushed it off. Completely unacceptable to check into a room that way at a five star luxury hotel. Checked out and was charged an extra $25 on breakfast with just “other” on a receipt that didn’t match the receipt I had. Again, receptionist just said “sorry I don’t really know how they bill things up there”. It felt like a waste of time to try to resolve with the staff because no one seemed to care. At Valet, our car was brought out and parked and we stood there asking for help/the keys while valet staff ignored us. We had to stand there staring at our car. We were disappointed and honestly surprised by the poor experience we had. We were very much looking forward to our stay.
