A beautiful venue with welcoming staff, excellent food and a luxurious atmosphere. We attended a family wedding at the resort then stayed that night at the resort. Our room was so nice and comfortable too. The whole place and the service was just amazing. Definitely more of a destination than just a place to stay. Already planning to go back.

Beautiful property, nice spa, nice golf course but not worth the nightly price for what you get. The food here is lacking, very overpriced and the service at the restaurants (except bobs) is very poor. Blind salamander is AWFUL! And it is 10 miles from the nice restaurants in Austinthe hothotwl

The hotel and grounds are fantastic but what I remember was that every person I interacted with - valet, bellhop, golf course attendant, registration, bar tenders - all had a focus on taking care of me.

They made our anniversary very memorable. We wished we used the pool as it looked really nice but forgot our swimsuits. We loved our stay and will be back with the kids!

Overall, I was not very impressed with the hotel given the cost for a two‑night stay. The accommodations were adequate for what we needed, as we were traveling with other couples for a golf weekend, but the overall experience did not align with the price point. Crenshaw’s Bar and Eatery was particularly disappointing. Despite calling ahead and making a reservation for our group of 10, there was no table ready when we arrived early on a Friday evening—even though the restaurant was not very busy. The service also fell short. Our server appeared to be in training and did not check in with our table frequently enough. We are not a demanding group, but when you’re repeatedly looking around for a waiter and can’t find one, it suggests additional training or support may be needed. The white wine selection was extremely limited, and we ultimately had to request a better option from another restaurant on the property. Uncorking the bottle then turned into a 10‑minute ordeal, with the cork snapping in half and crumbling. No replacement bottle was offered. These are not issues I would expect at a premier, luxury Hill Country destination. Additionally, for a busy spring weekend, the lack of live music at the bar on a Friday night was disappointing. Two people standing behind a DJ table did not match the type of atmosphere the venue should be providing during peak season. Regarding the rooms, they were adequate and what you would expect for a $179 Hilton‑type room; however, the bed sheets were extremely rough and scratchy. On a positive note, our poolside server was fantastic, the bartender that was there both Friday and Saturday night was great, and we appreciated the proactive $50 refund on the golf round—especially given the high cost—when the greens were not in good condition.

Everyone at the Barton Creek Golf Resort in Austin, Texas, treated us like royalty. We ended up getting a suite on the top floor over looking the golf course. The suite was so large that it occupied almost half of the top floor. Included with the package was golf, massages and meals. Boy, did we get treated great!!!
