Beware!
The Thompson is considered a 6 out 7 Category Hyatt. I was excited that I was able to get a free because I hit globalist. First don’t expect help with bags. Second, after dinner, we wanted a night cap so the front desk said they were open until midnight. So we go and the guy at Arriba and Abajo was so rude. We tried ordering drinks and he said “wine or beer only” and flicked a menu at us and walked away. Third we were only here 1 night. So to top it off our shower didn’t work - no water would not turn on. They had engineering come up who could not fix it! We had shower in the morning and I waiting for over 15 min or more for her to come back on. Needless to say we will not be back .

Extremely busy time, great valet
It took more than 30 minutes to get to the hotel as many areas of the streets were closed off for Halloween. When I finally go to the valet area. Nicolas Gonazalez was very nice and friendly. He could tell how frustrated I was with the traffic and was very warm and welcoming to take care of parking the car for me

Great visit on a busy Halloween day. Employees had great communication and let me know what to expect due to Halloween traffic. Valet was fast and friendly, specially Zach. Great attitude and proactive :)

Great valet - bell hop experience
Nicolas Gonzalez helped us with our bags from the car all the way up to our room - quite a large load with my family in tow. He was very helpful unloading and organizing in our room and even gave us some tips for the city / going around town. Super friendly and great start to our stay. Props to him

Not just a hotel… An experience that starts and ends with the people… Ballet manager Marquis is an absolute rockstar
Our time and experience, the Thompson was amazing mostly due to the staff. Every person made our stay a pleasure and made it feel more like a friend taking care of you that I paid employee. Will definitely stay multiple times in the future. Marquis, the ballet manager is a rockstar
