Nice hotel, very central location although pretty close to the infamous Dirty 6th Street. Pool is pretty tiny, more of a dipping pool than a swimming pool and it's crowded with not enough chairs. Staff does not monitor how long people leave their things which is annoying. The worst part was people ordering food to the pool but then eating while swimming in the pool. It was so disgusting it really ruined my time at the pool. Literally fries in the pool, greasy hands, crumbs, etc. Just eat outside and then go swimming....I don't get that. Pool staff is all very young and they were completely fine/average. Bar staff is very nice, pretty good food overall.

The staff were extremely professional, knowledgeable and demonstrated excellent customer service skills, especially Housekeeper, Norma, and managers Harry and Jeremiah. This hotel is well managed and will provide you with excellent experience.

We stayed here for an anniversary staycation. This hotel would be a good spot for a bachelor party or guys weekend but is not a great spot for a romantic weekend. Of note, the valet is pricey. At almost $70 it would’ve been cheaper to uber here than bring our truck, but we did not know the cost of parking before our arrival. This was poor planning on our part. The rooms are very masculine. From dark woods and jewel tones to the woodsy room scent and heavily cologne-scented bath products (think Old Spice or Brut that lingers), it is a VERY masculine room. The room comes with only one bath robe, which again doesn’t bode well for a romantic weekend. There is also no cream or milk available for the nespresso in the room, so if you like black espresso this may work for you. The all-black toilet is also a very masculine decorating choice, and a bit of an obstacle if you’re trying to monitor your hydration at all. The AC in our room was struggling a bit. When we entered it was set to 72 but felt closer to 80, so we assumed it had just been off until we entered the room. After returning from lunch and watching the FIFA match, we decided we needed to turn it way down to give it a chance to cool down by bedtime. We closed our curtains and cranked the AC down to 68. When we returned from dinner & drinks the room was cooler but still nowhere near 72 (what we keep our home at) so we turned the AC down to 65. We both ended up sleeping on top of the bedding and woke up in the early morning hours to find the room had finally started to cool down. We did not eat at the restaurant but did enjoy drinks by the pool before going out for dinner. The pool has a great view but is very crowded on the weekends (it gives cruise ship on a sea day). Don’t look in the drains surrounding the pool; they are full of trash, plastic drink cups, etc. The location of this hotel is great; this property is within walking distance to some great dinner and drink spots. The view from our corner room was also great for people-watching and the street noise was not an issue in our 14th floor room. I would not recommend this spot for a romantic weekend but this could pass for a slumber party spot (if you bring your own toiletries, bath robes/slippers, and coffee creamer) and would be a solid place for a guy’s weekend. We booked through Amex as we have had great luck with their Fine Hotels and Resorts. This hotel was not as well-appointed as the other FHR spots we have stayed at and was the first FHR collection hotel we’ve stayed at that felt like a “miss.” Instead of using the late check-out benefit we decided to go ahead and head home early, to coffee with creamer, solid AC, and our own toiletries.

The hotel was excellent, and the staff was fantastic and attentive. My only complaint was the pool, which was more like a scene from Love Island than a place you could actually spend time with your kids. Probably nothing they can do about that, but we weren't comfortable using the pool during "happy hour."

Very nice place. Parking was a little tough...had to valet but couldn't get into the valet line without blocking traffic as its on the main street. Also expensive at $60+ per day! Plan ahead. Pool was GREAT! Relaxed, had drinks, comfy lounges etc. Only there for one night but really enjoyed it. The attached 5th St Diner (can put it on your room charge) was great. Had the brisket hash and it was REALLY good breakfast. And reasonable. Saw a lot of people coming off the street to eat there so you know it was good. Such a welcom change from the typical overpriced hotel offerings when you stay at a nice place. Room was great. We do a LOT of traveling and this hotel met all our expectations.
