Reviews for Coquillade Provence

Coquillade Provence is exceptional in every way

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Beautiful property staffed with wonderful, attentive staff and service, excellent amenities, super clean rooms that are well planned and with spacious modern bathrooms, and great restaurants and food. Special mention to Danel at the pool bar and area - he is an absolute delight. The rest of the staff are very courteous, helpful, and attentive. We loved it at this gorgeous, understatedly luxurious retreat in the heart of the Luberon region. We plan to return hopefully again and again.

Not a 5 star

Very disappointed by most of the hotel, although the location is lovely. The room was clean, a good size with a terrific view but you must request the view or you will not get it. The service, other than Tom the valet and Melvin a concierge was awful; it was like you were bothering them, especially in the dining areas.

Excellent stay in Provence

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Beautiful property for a peaceful stay in Provence. The grounds are beautiful; restaurants excellent, and rooms lovely. We also really enjoyed having their cycling center there - great place to rent great road bikes and ride! The bar/outside terrace is a lovely spot post meal to enjoy an after dinner drink and watch the sunset. Very romantic setting.

Coquillade Provence: Some hotels are destinations in themselves, and for me, Coquillade is one of them.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Some hotels are destinations in themselves, and for me, La Coquillade is one of them. If you're planning a trip to Provence, the Luberon, or even the Saint-Rémy region, this is where I would stay. It's perfectly located for day trips, but I think you'll find yourself wanting to spend most of your time at the hotel and exploring the surrounding villages. I booked La Coquillade after seeing it featured on Condé Nast's top hotel list. I also seriously considered Le Crillon le Brave and Airelles, but I'm so glad we chose La Coquillade. For me, this is ultra-luxury without the pretension. Nothing feels forced or overdone. It's elegant, relaxed, exceptionally well run, and just has a wonderful feeling about it. The whole resort is peaceful and beautifully designed, almost like your own private Provençal village. It's one of those places where you immediately slow down and switch off. The food was excellent throughout our stay. The service was equally impressive. Everyone was warm, friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. It was obvious that the team cared, and that really set the tone for the whole stay. Our room was stylish, spotless, and fresh, with beautiful views across the valley. If you're looking for refined luxury in Provence, I don't think you'll regret staying here. We'll definitely be back next year and will probably pair it with the Côte d'Azur instead of Saint-Rémy. I also thought it was good value for money. We spent the summer travelling around Europe and stayed at several hotels featured by Condé Nast and Forbes Travel Guide. La Coquillade was our favourite hotel of the summer.

Honeymoon Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon and were blown away! We were surprised with rose petals on the bed, champagne, a bottle of rose, and a chocolate cake to help us celebrate! The property is absolutely stunning - there is greenery and flowers everywhere. The pool is very relaxing and the spa was incredible. We spent multiple days going in for the sauna, cold plunge, and steam room. All the employees were so helpful; even helping us with where to park and go for the Gordes weekly market and for some local lavender fields. We would definitely stay again!!
