Began at soneva as my 1st time going to Maldives was one of the best choice that I’ve ever made, yet it set the bar incredibly high 😉 The memories I have of going to Soneva last year, back when it was my first time, are unforgettable. Anyone who’s ever been here knows exactly how it feels to be at Soneva. A natural, spacious island where you might even spot cute rabbits hopping around. Rustic overwater villas with a modern touch, big private pools, slides, incredible breakfast spots in the main area, and I don’t even need to mention the beach. We all know Maldives is amazing, but there’s just something about Soneva that stays with you, something you can’t help but keep close to your heart. Now I’m choosing Soneva again for my 6th time in the Maldives. After exploring a few other resorts, I realized I wanted that same feeling again, maybe even better, more beautiful experience, back at Soneva. Once I arrived at Soneva this time, it was cloudy, yet it didn’t change the beauty of the island. Surprisingly, our butler, Adel, told us that they had upgraded our room to a two-bedroom overwater villa, which was nice! Everything went smoothly, the spa was great, and we dived three days in a row. The dive sites were really beautiful. We played tennis both with and without a coach, and had a great time with Cornelia, who was our tennis coach then. Overall, my stay at Soneva was truly wonderful. It felt like coming back home, creating new memories while the old ones remain just as beautiful. It’s sad to leave , five days is definitely not enough. There are just a few small things that I think could be improved to meet Soneva’s high standards. At times, punctuality could be better, for example, picking us up from the restaurant, meet us at one point, clearing our in-villa dining even after we had requested it to be done 45 minutes later, and the turndown service, which was scheduled for 7 p.m. but ended up happening about an hour later. I understand that this was peak season, with many arrivals and high occupancy, so everyone was very busy. However, I believe this is still an area where improvements can be made. There was also a very small detail that I noticed: our minibar snacks weren’t refilled by housekeeping. Of course, we could always ask, but it’s always nicer when these things are done without having to request them. I hope that in the near future these small shortcomings can be improved, especially considering how strong the competition is among luxury resorts. At this price point, I’m confident that guests who choose Soneva arrive with very high expectations. But personally, I still love Soneva for everything it offers, and I’m pretty sure I’ll be back.

She was exceptionally attentive and always one step ahead of our needs. She handled every request with warmth and grace and she made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. She arranged our activities perfectly and added personal touches that made the entire trip feel effortless. Her kindness and professionalism brought a beautiful sense of comfort and luxury to our holiday. Soneva continues to set the standard for hospitality and this trip was another wonderful reminder of why we love staying there. We cannot wait to return.
