Spent a few days here and it was easily the highlight of our Bali trip. The villa was huge and absolutely stunning—literally every corner is a photo op. The facilities are top-notch, but what really stood out was how well we were treated as members. The team is incredibly generous and just so lovely to chat with. Also, special shoutout for the breakfast spread; it was massive and everything tasted amazing. A big thank you to everyone at Umana for making our stay so seamless and memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a truly wonderful and memorable stay at this hotel. The overall experience was excellent, and the service was very professional. A special thanks to Tofik and Umana teams for their exceptional hospitality. Tofik was incredibly helpful and made sure we felt well-taken care of throughout our visit. We also really appreciated the flexibility with our check-out, which made our departure much more convenient. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great stay. We look forward to visiting again!

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in Bali! Staff were friendly and hospitable, from the staff at the Commune and Oliverra to the buggy drivers. Special shout out to Richard who warmly welcomed us to Umana on our arrival and Darma, our Curator, that constantly checked in if any help was needed throughout the trip. He was fast and responsive and made the stay feel so personal. 5 out of 5 for facilities, cleanliness and accommodation. Giving 4 out of 5 stars for views though - our initial villa (Villa 202) had a blocked view of the ocean, it was disappointing since we did book the ‘one bedroom panoramic view villa’ expecting unblocked views. (Maybe not an issue if you didn’t care for the view but if you specifically booked this villa vs the standard one bedroom villa, you would expect an unblocked panoramic view) Darma was very helpful though, he helped arrange for a switch to a different villa on our last night which was very much appreciated and we really enjoyed soaking in the views in the subsequent villa.

Excellent trip with family (3-1 bedroom villas booked). Agus and Nicholas really helped us when our plans went a bit haywire because of some illness in the family - Kudos for the hotel showing compassion and flexibility. Darma - Outstanding curator. Could understand even vague instructions. Really helpful. Constructive feedback - Food could be improved especially for vegetarians. One thing I found missing was automated blinds - those are kind of baseline at a luxury resort. Overall the stay was fabulous and the team went above and beyond to ensure our family has fun.

This is a beautiful hotel but there are a few things that require improvement to make this a truly luxurious experience. Pros: friendly staff, prompt buggy service, rooms are tidy Cons: Villas need updates, bathrooms could use a good scrub, mold in grout, none of the trash cans work (meaning you are supposed to be able to step on the foot pedal but not a single one works. The biggest con is this feeling like every staff member is trying to upsell you. They are constantly pushing meals, products, services in almost an annoying way. Also, there are only waitstaff at the Uma beach club. Wanting to get you food and drink but no one to set up your towel or offer you water. So much staff yet they just want to sell you stuff and not make you truly feel comfortable.

The Cliff Edge Pool Villa with in-villa dining is amazing. Love the ambiance, serenity, and service is really impeccable. Thank you Banyan Tree!
