Choosing Umana as a honeymoon accommodation was the best choice. What I was most satisfied with was the ridiculous view and the very kind staff. p.s If it weren't for our manager Karen, happiness in Umana would have been halved.

The Umana Resort is beautifully situated above Melasti Beach. The very friendly staff will either drive you directly to the clubhouse or you can climb the 120 stairs yourself. The breakfast restaurant is absolutely top-notch. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. The villas are superbly equipped and simply gorgeous. Everyone at the resort contributes to an unforgettable vacation. Our curator, Darma, was especially helpful in our case. He also superbly organized our surfing trip to Kuta and had a brief air conditioning malfunction resolved immediately. Overall, I highly recommend it.

Excellent accommodations, good facilities, clean, flexible restaurants and friendly staff. The pool was clean, the views beautiful, the food tasty. Couldn’t have asked for more. Darma was particularly helpful in organizing anything we needed.

Best parts: - The beach club and beach access - The villa was very spacious with private plunge pool - Lunch at the Italian restaurant was fantastic Not so good: - AC in the room did not work at night, which led to the room temp being at 78 to 79F. Hence, did not get good night sleep for the 1st night. We had called maintenance the previous night and they came and checked and assured it worked fine and they were going to do something from the central control. In the middle of he night when it was bad sleep due to AC not working properly, we were too tired to have to call and deal with it. - Car transfer to the Beach club from the hotel (10 min drive) is in a tiny car. A Toyota Innova would be nice and with rates being close to $1,000/night, a half decent car should be the bare minimum - We paid around $300/night more than ocean view villa for a panoramic ocean view. The view was ocean view at best and not panoramic. The roof of the villas in the row in front of us was a lot more prominent than the ocean beyond - Housekeeping requests took long time and multiple follow-ups

Umana’s hospitality is the best we have received. The trip is especially memorable with the keen effort our butler, Karen, has put in. Also we would like to extend our gratitude to Eni, Arya and Ulisa. You all have made our trip very memorable! First of first, we are highly satisfied with our butler, Karen. She is cheerful, attentive and dedicated, from promptly response to our request in the villa, to safely getting us( a family of eight aged 9-90) around the hotel and flawlessly arranging us for using the facilities in the hotel, like restaurants and beach house. The villa itself is new, luxuriously designed and well-equipped , for example, built in type C charger at night stands and desks and multiple portable Bluetooth speakers (Sonos) where we can play music by the pool. The pool is big and deep for a private pool (1.4m). The whole villa is very spacious, yet still can draw people to get close to hang out in the common area without too much walking. Semi-buffet breakfast in Commune is so decent. I like especially their immune booster shots from the juice bar. The authentic Indonesian desserts are something you don’t want to miss too. Besides, I must tell you their mushroom cappuccino soup on the a la carte menu is our repetitive choice. We were lucky enough to see some Balinese dancing on pool deck at dinner on the night they held a special event. What a surprise to get to see the cultural dance without leaving the hotel. The restaurant manager, Eni, is very friendly and helpful. She and her team expedited the best service and shared me a lot about Balinese culture! We watched sunset in their Mediterranean restaurant, Oliverra. Their steak is excellent! Staff in the kids club are very friendly too. She played hide and seek with the kids and showed us hot to play Indonesian old games. The gym is big with versatile machines and equipment. A lot of mirrors!! Overall it is an exquisite experience for us. We highly recommend this hotel. If you have a chance to stay, try going for their three-bedroom villa.
