COMO Uma Ubud

Absolutely wonderful experience at COMO Uma Ubud. As a solo traveler one of the things I worry about most is finding a sense of community and comfort in an unfamiliar place, and this hotel delivered both effortlessly. The staff here are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. From opening the door every time I returned, to greeting me with “welcome home,” to offering personal tips and suggestions on what to do around Ubud, they made me feel genuinely cared for. Yes, this place is expensive, but you truly get premium quality. I’ve stayed at places where the price didn’t match the experience… this was not one of those. The massages were impeccable, the place was beautiful, the energy was warm, the nightly turndown service was such a thoughtful touch, and the food was consistently great. It’s the little details that make the difference. I loved it so much that I extended my stay by a few extra nights and don’t regret it at all. The hotel even suggested I rebook through my credit card to earn additional points rather than booking directly with them, which says a lot about how much they prioritize guest well being over profit. Highly recommend for anyone seeking comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality in Ubud.

We've just spent 2 nights at this wonderful boutique resort and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The breakfast at the Kemiri was amazing, the Italian restaurant Uma Cucina serves up creative dishes with great flavors and the Uma Bar by the pool is terrific. All the staff were warm, friendly and attentive and I can't give them enough praise. Como Uma also has a great location, just minutes away from the town center. I highly recommend a stay at this fine resort

The Como Uma in Ubud is a wonderful oasis of calm and tranquility. Once you enter the grounds, it really doesn’t feel like a hotel and the surrounding vegetation creates a very natural experience. The service is impeccable, everything just happens without you seeing anyone and everyone was so happy, welcoming and helpful. The food is excellent and the choice of organised tours is really broad (we had a private hike to Mount Batur - excellent and great value for money!) The hotel is around a 20 minute walk from the centre of Ubud but the hotel offers a free, regular shuttle service. Overall, a lovely hotel with everything you need to have a really special experience.

This hotel provides the total package in terms of lovely comfortable rooms, excellent service throughout, a great dining experience in-house and plenty of attention to detail for the guests. A very special mention goes out to Dewa who gave us a Balinese cookery lesson which was very informative and we cooked Pepes Ikan (fish wrapped in banana leaf). So tasty. We both learned a lot from him and received the printed recipe to go home with. Thanks for a memorable stay.

We’ve recently returned from yet another truly wonderful stay at Como Uma Ubud.   We’re return visitors to this very special place for all of the reasons our fellow travellers have stated. The landscaped gardens, the beautifully designed, appointed and spotlessly clean rooms and villas, the superb food and beverage offerings and the exquisite and considered care of the staff at each touch point across your stay really position Uma above similar properties with a level of luxury and service that is second to none.   It’s little wonder that the resort was voted the number one resort in the world and in Indonesia by Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2025,   Of note during this stay was an incredible Italian meal at Uma Cuccina – the food handled with such care and focus was such a highlight of the holiday. The local Balinese food offered through the pool bar are also exceptional – fresh, authentic and so very delicious. The beef rendang and the tuna sambal matah both standouts. The cocktails excellent too - the best dry martinis this side of New York.   The beautiful breakfast at Kemiri beside the koi pond with resident turtles is such a fantastic was to start the day with excellent coffee and an abundance of sweet and savoury Balinese and western delights. Be sure to try the daily special offerings of local breakfast treats. There’s little wonder that this breakfast service consistently rates a close to top score in traveller reviews.   The signature COMO Shambhala Massage from the Spa remains the best massage experience we’ve ever had. Instantly sets you up for a relaxing week ahead. And the well appointed and contemporary gym one of the best gyms we’ve used in a resort, ever.   The most brilliant aspect of the property is the focus and attention of the staff across the resort. They are engaged and interested and remember the little details that make a holiday so special. Every single staff member has guest welfare and comfort at the centre of their interactions and intent. Our party included a relative with mobility issues and the staff couldn’t have been more supportive or accommodating to our concerns and needs.   Book some time at Uma – you won’t be sorry you did, and like us, I’m sure you’ll return.
