COMO Uma Ubud

This hotel provides the total package in terms of lovely comfortable rooms, excellent service throughout, a great dining experience in-house and plenty of attention to detail for the guests. A very special mention goes out to Dewa who gave us a Balinese cookery lesson which was very informative and we cooked Pepes Ikan (fish wrapped in banana leaf). So tasty. We both learned a lot from him and received the printed recipe to go home with. Thanks for a memorable stay.

We’ve recently returned from yet another truly wonderful stay at Como Uma Ubud.   We’re return visitors to this very special place for all of the reasons our fellow travellers have stated. The landscaped gardens, the beautifully designed, appointed and spotlessly clean rooms and villas, the superb food and beverage offerings and the exquisite and considered care of the staff at each touch point across your stay really position Uma above similar properties with a level of luxury and service that is second to none.   It’s little wonder that the resort was voted the number one resort in the world and in Indonesia by Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2025,   Of note during this stay was an incredible Italian meal at Uma Cuccina – the food handled with such care and focus was such a highlight of the holiday. The local Balinese food offered through the pool bar are also exceptional – fresh, authentic and so very delicious. The beef rendang and the tuna sambal matah both standouts. The cocktails excellent too - the best dry martinis this side of New York.   The beautiful breakfast at Kemiri beside the koi pond with resident turtles is such a fantastic was to start the day with excellent coffee and an abundance of sweet and savoury Balinese and western delights. Be sure to try the daily special offerings of local breakfast treats. There’s little wonder that this breakfast service consistently rates a close to top score in traveller reviews.   The signature COMO Shambhala Massage from the Spa remains the best massage experience we’ve ever had. Instantly sets you up for a relaxing week ahead. And the well appointed and contemporary gym one of the best gyms we’ve used in a resort, ever.   The most brilliant aspect of the property is the focus and attention of the staff across the resort. They are engaged and interested and remember the little details that make a holiday so special. Every single staff member has guest welfare and comfort at the centre of their interactions and intent. Our party included a relative with mobility issues and the staff couldn’t have been more supportive or accommodating to our concerns and needs.   Book some time at Uma – you won’t be sorry you did, and like us, I’m sure you’ll return.

My Wife and I just spent 4 nights at this spectacular resort/hotel and the time ever! The hotel and staff are to be commended for their wonderful hospitality and kindness from everyone who works here! We will be back to Bali one day and will definitely come back to this incredible Hotel! Love from Canada!

We stayed for four nights in Uma Pool Villa 31, located at the very bottom of the compound. It was beautifully secluded and private, with a wonderful view over the forest and valley below. The villa itself was spacious, with a generous bathroom and a particularly lovely semi-outdoor shower, where showering beside the greenery felt like such a special experience. We loved spending time in the outdoor garden and pool, completely immersed in nature with the sounds of the forest all around us beneath the canopy. The bedding was extremely comfortable and the WiFi was excellent. Breakfast was served in an outdoor pavilion beside a koi pond, and it was truly one of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever had. We also had dinner on Wednesday evening, accompanied by traditional Balinese dancing, which was a beautiful and memorable immersion into Balinese culture. The whole hotel is so thoughtfully designed and full of greenery. We joined the morning walk through the neighbouring village and paddy fields, and also took part in a spiritual healing experience with a local healer, both of which made our stay feel even more meaningful and connected to the place. We also tried the Como Shambhala massage, which was excellent. The location of the hotel is very convenient too, with lovely shops and restaurants nearby. Last but not least, the hotel staff were absolutely wonderful and represented the very best of Balinese hospitality. A special mention to Ayu at reception, Made during breakfast and our guide Anom who told us lots about the Balinese history, customs and tradition. Each of them made us feel genuinely welcomed and made our stay truly special. We would have no hesitation staying here again and again. It is, quite simply, one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in

Our stay at Como Uma Ubud was truly memorable. The room itself was beautiful, spacious, serene, and designed with a quiet elegance that immediately makes you feel at peace. What stood out most was the attentiveness of the staff; every interaction felt warm and genuine, with small thoughtful touches that made the experience feel personal. Breakfast at Kemiri Restaurant was another highlight: fresh, beautifully presented, and enjoyed in such a tranquil setting that mornings felt like a celebration of simple pleasures. From the lush surroundings to the sense of calm throughout the property, everything came together to create a stay that was both restorative and inspiring. It’s the kind of place that lingers with you long after you leave
