Great location, great staff, but a hidden charge

we had a great time at Conrad Bali, thanks to the great staff, location and ongoing activities right in their backyard. While the overall navigation of the resort can get confusing, their staff makes up for any such logistical barrier. We engaged in several water based activities, spent hours in or around the pool . we were assigned with a support person called Cicilia , who was of immense help in arranging our bookings and planning our itinerary. she was constantly in touch over whatsApp and checking how we are doing. Great job Cicilia and thanks for all your help. The only disappointment was the fact that Hilton charged us extra for an additional bed we needed for our 15 year old. the website clearly advertised that the room sleeps 4 and we were a family of 3. When you spend so much , does Hilton really need to retort to such hidden charges in the fine print. Other than that, we had a fantastic time. one tip I'd share is to explore outside Spas that we equally good but charge a 3rd compared to resort. Bali is great and Conrad Bali is a great place to spend your time at.

Our stay at the Conrad Bali was truly exceptional and without a doubt the best family holiday we have ever had. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are maintained to perfection and look like a postcard at every turn. Despite being a large resort, there is so much space that it never felt crowded or busy, allowing us to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of Bali outside the resort. What made our stay truly unforgettable, however, was Chris, the Curator. From the moment we arrived, Chris went above and beyond to ensure our family had the most amazing experience. Whether it was booking appointments, arranging activities, helping us navigate the local area, or even assisting us in getting an iPad screen repaired, nothing was ever too much trouble. Chris was consistently kind, caring, and genuinely invested in making sure we were happy. He always greeted us with a smile, took the time to check in on us, and made us feel valued throughout our stay. His level of service was exceptional and far beyond anything we have experienced before. Chris is a true asset to the Conrad Bali. His warmth, professionalism, and willingness to help with absolutely anything made our holiday unforgettable. We are incredibly grateful for everything he did for our family and can honestly say he played a huge part in making this the best trip we have ever taken. In fact, Chris made such an impression on our family that we have already decided we will be returning to Conrad Bali next year. While the resort itself is stunning, it is people like Chris who create the kind of experience that keeps guests coming back. Thank you, Chris, and thank you to the entire Conrad Bali team. We cannot wait to return.

I chose this hotel as my wedding proposal venue. Staff is nice and friendly. Service is top notch. Got upgraded to ocean front suite. Too many activities I cannot enjoy in one night. Will definitely come back next time!

Old Dame needing a reset

For many of you new to Bali and visiting the Conrad the first time you will love this hotel. For those who have visited the property since the early 2010s and seen the various incarnations you will now shudder what it has become. At one time this was the best hotel in Nusa Dua and probably across Bali. The competition has certainly upped its game but you can’t help feeling that the Conrad Bali is being pushed to the mass market cheaper end of the spectrum towards the Hilton brands. Gone are the days where managers were visible - it always used to be that the international managers were always busy walking around the property meeting guests - now they are nowhere to be seen. The executive lounge does not exist. Gone with this is therefore the high tea and cocktails for members (eg Diamond members and above) instead you get 1 voucher for 1 drink at the lobby. We met with another could who celebrating their 50th bdays who were also Diamond members - the commented how the manager never came to greet them, didn’t honour the free transport that they had been been given on their previous 4 trips with hotel taxis and that in general the hotel has its lost soul. One of the main problems about the hotel is that they have priced the rooms significantly lower than the other luxury brands on the strips. This has meant that instead of the usual customer you would now see at say the Ritz Carlton you now see more antipodeans all fighting for sunbeds, all tatooed up with beers in their hands and walking around in their budgie smugglers - it’s like Kuta has taken over Nusa Dua. Where you used to have private cabanas you now have sunbeds about 30 cm away giving you no privacy at all. Breakfast is a bum fight and they literally have to open up breakout rooms so people can get something to eat. In the evenings where you used to enjoy cocktails at sunset you now get people eating take away pizzas and kids rolling around in their nappies. The staff who work there are fabulous but you can tell they are noticing the difference and it’s no surprise that with their last manager now having left to Japan that a lot of the staff are choosing to move with him or just leave outright - some have been there since the hotel opened in 2004! The Japanese restaurant has seriously gone hill and the Spice restaurant has just never been open except for breakfast overspill. Walking to your room you go past empty pizza boxes and when you finally get to your room you notice a big difference in upkeep - our shower was leaking more water from the wall than actually out of the nozzle. Shame on the Conrad and its current management for letting this happen. Either rebrand it to a Hilton, sell it to Sheraton (as it feels more like a Sheraton now) or change the management and get this hotel back to where it should be.
