Conrad Bali

This hotel has gone downhill our room is old and dirty the tiny sofa cannot fit 2 people comfortably. We have stayed here nearly every year for 17 years

From the moment we arrived, we felt like royalty; completely taken care of. The hotel staff were so dedicated to making sure our every need was met, in particular our dedicated curator, Cicilia, who deserves a special shout-out for going out of her way to get to know us well enough that she could tailor our stay to our liking perfectly. What truly made this hotel stand out were the staff, however it was only enhanced by all the thoughtful little details like the delicious welcome drinks, getting to choose which pillow mist for the turndown service, or the ice cool glass of water that shows up when you've been roasting on a lounger by the pool! Even though there were a few families with young children staying at the hotel, it never felt overcrowded. The pools were spacious and interestingly shaped and, due to the layout, most of the pool was in the sun for most of the day, so the water temp rarely dropped too low to swim, even after the sun went down. Tip: the large, central pool always seemed to be a few degrees warmer than the others! There were plenty of sun loungers to choose from, all kept neatened and well maintained by the attentive staff. We would quite happily stake our claim on a couple of loungers in a prime location without feeling like we'd deprived anyone else the chance of finding a sweet spot for themselves. The grounds and gardens were lovely and well thought out, and the layout of the hotel was unique and interesting, with multiple scenic routes to get anywhere, perfect for our complementary photoshoot! The spa was enormous and utterly peaceful, lots of massages and treatments to choose from and free use of the sauna and yet another, quieter pool hidden from the masses! Breakfast was excellent - importantly, reliably good croissants and coffee every day and consistently high quality food and plenty of options. Something for everyone. We occasionally made use of the free shuttle bus to the nearby outdoor shopping mall, "Bali Collection", which was a great place to go for lunch or dinner as there's lots of different world cuisines to choose from as well as a few Indonesian/Balinese places who were thankfully very flexible on our spiciness preferences! Although we enjoyed visiting the local warungs (especially Nyoman’s just down the beach from the hotel), and the Bali Collection, we honestly would have been perfectly happy if we'd spent the entire holiday at the hotel. There were more than enough dining options and live shows to see most nights; we never once considered if we maybe should have stayed elsewhere. The hotel always felt both impressive and homely from our first arrival, then every time we returned from a venture - legitimately nicer than most of the other hotel lobbies we spied from our tour pickups and dropoffs! You could tell that the tourists staying at the other hotels were a bit envious when they watched us step out of the minibus and into Conrad's grand entrance and its welcoming sea of smiles! We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and would return in a heartbeat. We had an absolutely unforgettable stay and genuinely found it heartbreaking to leave.

We stayed in Conrad in 2025 and now again in 2026, their welcoming hospitalitity and kidness is why we went back. The food is amazing, their service and the whole resort. Cannot wait to go back!
