I've traveled the globe and stayed at many five-star luxury hotels, and although the staff was very friendly here, I found this property to have a lot of issues for the price and for the reputation that they're supposed to uphold. #1 SPA refused very reasonable request I've spent over 25 years working for Forbes five star luxury destination resorts around the globe. I've have opened and trained the service staff at some of the finest hotels around the globe. I was literally repulsed by the lack of customer service at the spa! It is a FORBES 5 star service requirement to do anything to say "yes" and to not deny a reasonable service request. Due several factors I wanted a copy of the spa menu to be printed. number one, My phone was only at 3% battery life & number two I was traveling with two senior citizens who have a hard time seeing the cell phone screen and specifically asked for a copy of the spa menu and number three it was simply a REASONABLE SERVICE REQUEST and a preference that I had as a guest. I did not think that this was something that would be such a huge issue. At first I walked up and asked them for the menu and they told me to scan the QR code. I explained that I was traveling with senior citizens who were asking for a printed copy as well as that my phone was only at 3% battery life, and that we had a family that was interested in booking services. My request was denied a second time. I asked her if she owned a printer, and if she had paper and she replied "yes" Then I explained that I was had a very reasonable request and I didn't understand why she was saying no, and she said " we don't have the capability" which I found to be very untruthful as they did own a printer, and they did have paper. So the TRUTH is they just flat out did not want to help. At this point, I asked to speak with a manager she called the manager, explain to the manager over the phone and then hung up the phone. My manager said "no, we cannot print" I reminded the lady that I asked to speak to the manager. I wanted the manager to come out and speak to me directly, so I asked her to call the manager again to send the manager over as I was trying to find out what was the reason why they were refusing to simply push two buttons on the computer and print the menu for me. It doesn't make sense to escalate a customer on such a small request and I wanted to speak with the manager directly. When the manager came to greet me, I asked again and she told me that they cannot do that again. I confirmed if they have paper in the printer and she said "yes" and I asked again what is the reason why you're refusing to print a spa menu? I explained that I had two senior citizens in my party and then my phone was about to die, and that this Is considered a "reasonable service request" from the five star luxury property. After several back-and-forth, she asked me to wait about 10 minutes and came back and gave me a printed copy of the menu. I find this is probably one of the worst service experience that I've ever had from a resort that is supposed to have this high of a caliber of service. They are NOT 5 Stars based alone on this as it is a REQUIREMENT. # 2 SLOW SERVICE Again the staff for a majority is very friendly besides the spa I found everybody to be very pleasant and very accommodating of requests. We did go to the jimbaran Gardens, one night for a dessert. The staff just could not seem to get my order correct. And it was a very simple order. I asked for a cup of coffee and then on the side I wanted a shot of Baileys Irish cream. They bought the order they bought me a shot of espresso and then a shot of Baileys, which is not what I asked for so I explained that I was looking for a cup of coffee did not in your head and said OK and came back with the exact same thing shot of espresso and a shot of Baileys. By this point it have been 40 minutes. Almost dessert was over everybody wanted to leave so we canceled the order because they just couldn't get a cup of coffee right and then we realize that we never got our bottles of water so my dad flagged down the waitress and said hey it's been 45 minutes. Where's the bottle of water and they say oh it's coming . Why does it take 45 minutes to get two bottles of water and three attempts to get a cup of coffee, correct? This was pretty frustrating at this point so we asked to cancel the waters and cancel the coffees when the manager came over. She finally was able to get the coffee right but we didn't want it at that point dessert was done. They've been done for 15 minutes already. It was a little bit frustrating although the manager as a gesture of Goodwill, she did take the items off the menu and she did end up bringing the coffee which should drink a couple sips, but I was ready to go at this point so I do wanna say that she did make it right and I appreciate her attempts to do so. #3 NO GIFT SHOP- YOU CANNOT BUY WATER OR SUNSCREEN ON PROPERTY in all of my travels across the globe and all of my years working and opening hotels, I have never in my entire life seen a property that had absolutely no gift shop. I confirmed three times with several people across the hotel. You cannot buy water in this hotel only in the dining establishment and it's in a glass so if you need to take anything to your room snacks waters if you wanna buy sunscreen for the pool, you have to go into town but for some odd reason, they have a funky gift shop with statues I don't need a statue. I need water. I don't need a statue I would like sunscreen. I don't need a statue. I want sunglasses I think that this is just beyond awful. Im really speechless about this. I'm not even sure who's running the property who would make a decision if I was to own this hotel the very first thing I would do is shut down the statue store and open the gift shop and actually anticipate the needs of my customers and providing them what they actually want which is things to purchase things to take to their room waters for heaven sake I would like buy sunscreen, 5-7 waters for my room & snacks! Overall, this property is truly a stunning resort and again the people besides the spa were very, very friendly, even though they can't seem to quite understand certain requests that can be overcome by showing photographs of what you're asking for at the time about your ordering so if you do go around the property order anything my recommendation to have a photo of it so that they understand The request and get your order accurate the service was extremely slow and I'm just shocked. They have no gift shop. I literally cannot get over that in regards to the property final statement. We did not book at the spa based off of the horrible customer service experience. I will not be giving my money to them at all whatsoever. I will simply wait until my next vacation and spend money at a spa that actually cares about customer service.

I had he pleasure of staying at the InterContinental Bali Jimbaran when it first opened Bali Jimbaran when it first opened — and even back then, it was outstanding. Now, years later, it’s only improved with age, like a fine wine. And some of staff are still there . And their sons and daughters have joined the staff. This makes for a great vibe The grounds are beautifully maintained, with lush tropical gardens, serene pathways, and multiple pools that invite total relaxation. The entire property feels spacious and calm, with a timeless elegance that many newer resorts try to replicate but can’t quite match. One of the true highlights of my stay was the Club InterContinental experience. The staff in the Club Lounge are genuinely exceptional — warm, attentive, and professional. They remembered my preferences and always made me feel welcome without being overbearing. The food and beverage offerings in the Club are excellent, and the quiet, refined atmosphere is a perfect escape. Whether you’re a returning guest like me or visiting for the first time, the InterContinental Jimbaran is a resort that continues to impress. It’s rare to find a place that holds up so well over time — and somehow gets even better.
