Excellent resort took the wrong turn a couple of times on the first day. Staff were excellent and the sunset bar, say hi to Indra for us if you would like a cold drink and great food with excellent views.

As soon as we drove down the resort’s entrance road, overgrown with plants and flowers, we knew we were in for something exceptionally beautiful. And we weren’t disappointed: two ladies in traditional attire greeted us, our luggage was taken immediately, and after our IHG status was verified, a priority concierge escorted us to the front desk. We were first offered refreshing cold towels and a cold drink; check-in was quick, professional, and seamless. Everything was explained to us, and then we were escorted to our mezzanine room. The room spans two floors; everything is very elegant, with plenty of teak wood, a balcony overlooking the garden, the pool, and the sea, and every conceivable amenity available. From the reception area through the garden and the many pools to the restaurants (we actually visited four of them), everything is extremely well-maintained and clean, and you can tell that the management and staff are proud of this vast resort and always strive to anticipate guests’ every need, always with a friendly yet genuine smile. We have particularly fond memories of the Bella Cucina restaurant and the Japanese restaurant KO; the ambiance, staff, and selection of dishes are all top-notch. The seemingly endless, often deserted white sandy beach invites you to take a dip in the sea at any time, and the main pool is large enough that you don’t get in each other’s way with other guests. Special mentioning: We must give special praise to Tarina and Sunimi from Taman Gita (the breakfast restaurant); thank you very much for the personal and almost familial care. We would also like to mention Mr. Sudika from Bella Cucina and the fabulous teppanyaki chef Arik from KO by name; it is staff like these who make a stay at a hotel unforgettable. Unfortunately, there was also a downside: Despite multiple prior communications, we were not informed that a large Indian wedding was taking place during the first four days of our stay. The wedding party had booked entire restaurants or even the main pool for parts of this period, making them unavailable to us. The rather loud live music, which continued into the late evening hours, was also disruptive. We have yet to receive an explanation or apology. We would have expected at least a message in advance and might have booked differently. Nevertheless, our stay as a whole was unforgettable, and we will definitely recommend the resort to others. We stayed at InterContinental Bali Resort, Jimbaran from Thursday, 28 May 2026 to 31 May 2026, to celebrate our daughter’s 2nd birthday and this trip became one of the most beautiful family memories we have ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such genuine warmth. The hospitality didn’t feel scripted; it felt human, sincere, and full of care. I had the chance to speak with the Duty Manager, Mr. Wisnu (Big shoutout to him!), who was exceptionally hospitable. He took the time to listen when we shared the purpose of our visit and made us feel truly seen as a family, not just as guests. What happened next honestly surprised us. Without us expecting anything, Mr. Wisnu arranged the most memorable birthday gesture: an upgraded room, beautifully prepared with cute birthday decorations, and a lovely fruit plate the fruits were fresh, sweet, and perfect for our little girl. It wasn’t just a “hotel amenity”; it felt like a thoughtful gift made with heart. And to the owner, Mr. Surya Paloh, you have someone truly special in your team. Mr. Wisnu is an angel, and you are genuinely fortunate to have a staff member like him representing your business. During our stay, we enjoyed every single moment. The private beach was stunning and peaceful, the pools were plentiful and well-maintained, and our daughter especially loved the koi fish pond and the playground, which was genuinely fun and family-friendly. The breakfast was another highlight! delicious, varied, and consistently excellent, with options that worked for both adults and children. If it weren’t for the reality of having to return to work in Jakarta, we would have stayed longer. Honestly, we felt sad leaving. But those four days gave us something priceless: a joyful celebration and a memory that will stay with us forever—truly the best birthday gift for our little girl.
