Jumeirah Bali

Overall the Jumeirah is a beautiful resort spread over a huge area with stunning views and excellent, large rooms. The service left a lot to be desired on our visit and pre-arrival communication really was not adequate. There was no pre-arrival email so we had to send a generic email requesting specific dining requests and spa bookings which took several days and multiple emails to resolve. One of the highlights was expected to be the sunset views over the ocean from Akasa Restaurant but the setting arrangements leave a lot to he desired and are uncomfortable. The service was also very slow. The food quality at Akasa is very good but the drinks are fruity cocktails more than anything. The Segaran restaurant for breakfast has a great buffet and excellent A la carte options but again service is slow and the tables are too high for the chairs making it awkward seating. Dinner at Segaran follows the high quality food options. The rooms are a great size with beautiful outdoor settings and amazing pools. Buggy transport around the huge resort is very efficient with super friendly staff. The spa is unfortunately not aligned with their high prices and not as good as other resorts we stayed at in Bali. Bookings were also a little hard to arrange. We would likely return and hope that the service level has been addressed.

We had an amazing stay at Jumeirah Bali in a spacious two-bedroom Oceanfront Villa. From our villa, we saw one of the most beautiful sunsets on the night of our wedding anniversary. The team arranged a special romantic dinner in the villa that evening, which made the occasion even more memorable. We also loved the delicious in-villa dinners and the beautiful pool area. The poolside food and service were excellent too. Our butler, Davin, was outstanding. He made everything feel easy and helped make our stay so enjoyable. Peafowl Kids Club was a real highlight for our four-year-old daughter, Sienna. Yumi and Ani were wonderful with her, and she loved the cooking classes, making a handbag, and painting a T-shirt with her family on it. Her absolute favourite was dressing up in traditional Balinese costume and having a Balinese dance lesson. She also made lots of little friends at the club. We were especially grateful for the attentive lifeguard, who kept a close eye on Sienna in the pool while she is still learning to swim. It helped us relax and enjoy our time together. Thank you to the entire Jumeirah Bali team for making our stay so special. We hope to return.

We stayed for three nights in a Two-Bedroom Garden Pool Villa at Jumeirah Bali, and overall, it was a very memorable family stay. The villa itself was beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean, and equipped with an impressive level of modern automation throughout the rooms. As expected from a relatively new luxury resort, everything felt polished, contemporary, and thoughtfully designed. One thing families with young children should be aware of is the villa layout. The master bedroom, second bedroom, and shared living area are separated rather than being internally connected. While this creates a wonderful sense of privacy and space, it can be slightly inconvenient when travelling with children, especially at night. That said, the generous size of the villa and the long private swimming pool more than made up for it and became one of the highlights of our stay. A very special mention must go to our dedicated butler, Renita. Her Korean was remarkably good, and thanks to her attentive and thoughtful service, we never felt inconvenienced during our stay. She was always one step ahead in helping with our family’s schedule and even arranged packed meals for us when we had activities outside the resort. Her care and attention added a very personal dimension to our experience, and we are genuinely grateful for everything she did for our family. Breakfast was also very satisfying. Both the buffet selection and the made-to-order dishes were of the standard one would expect from a luxury resort, and the bakery selection was particularly impressive. Our dining experiences, however, were slightly mixed. On our first evening, we had the Italian dinner at Segaran. While the food was perfectly acceptable, the menu felt quite similar to what one might find at many other Italian restaurants, and we did not find it particularly distinctive or memorable. The pacing of the course was also rather slow, which made the overall dinner longer than we would have preferred. AKASA, on the other hand, fully lived up to its reputation. The quality of both the food and the service was excellent, and the flavours were so impressive that we returned two nights in a row. Among the restaurants we visited during our Bali trip, AKASA was one of the standouts. Personally, we enjoyed the overall dining experience there slightly more than Sundara at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay. For us, however, the greatest asset of Jumeirah Bali is undoubtedly Dreamland Beach, located directly in front of the resort’s main pool area. Although it is not a private beach, having such immediate access to one of Bali’s most beautiful stretches of coastline is a tremendous advantage. Being able to walk straight from the resort to the beach made the entire stay feel even more special. Overall, Jumeirah Bali combines beautifully designed villas, generous private spaces, excellent personalised service, strong dining options, and an outstanding beachfront location. There are a few aspects of the villa layout and dining experience that could be improved, but the exceptional service, particularly from Renita, and the unforgettable setting of Dreamland Beach made this a stay our family will remember for a long time.
