Reviews for Jumeirah Bali

Wonderful Family Stay with Exceptional Butler Service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 10 hours ago

We stayed for three nights in a Two-Bedroom Garden Pool Villa at Jumeirah Bali, and overall, it was a very memorable family stay. The villa itself was beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean, and equipped with an impressive level of modern automation throughout the rooms. As expected from a relatively new luxury resort, everything felt polished, contemporary, and thoughtfully designed. One thing families with young children should be aware of is the villa layout. The master bedroom, second bedroom, and shared living area are separated rather than being internally connected. While this creates a wonderful sense of privacy and space, it can be slightly inconvenient when travelling with children, especially at night. That said, the generous size of the villa and the long private swimming pool more than made up for it and became one of the highlights of our stay. A very special mention must go to our dedicated butler, Renita. Her Korean was remarkably good, and thanks to her attentive and thoughtful service, we never felt inconvenienced during our stay. She was always one step ahead in helping with our family’s schedule and even arranged packed meals for us when we had activities outside the resort. Her care and attention added a very personal dimension to our experience, and we are genuinely grateful for everything she did for our family. Breakfast was also very satisfying. Both the buffet selection and the made-to-order dishes were of the standard one would expect from a luxury resort, and the bakery selection was particularly impressive. Our dining experiences, however, were slightly mixed. On our first evening, we had the Italian dinner at Segaran. While the food was perfectly acceptable, the menu felt quite similar to what one might find at many other Italian restaurants, and we did not find it particularly distinctive or memorable. The pacing of the course was also rather slow, which made the overall dinner longer than we would have preferred. AKASA, on the other hand, fully lived up to its reputation. The quality of both the food and the service was excellent, and the flavours were so impressive that we returned two nights in a row. Among the restaurants we visited during our Bali trip, AKASA was one of the standouts. Personally, we enjoyed the overall dining experience there slightly more than Sundara at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay. For us, however, the greatest asset of Jumeirah Bali is undoubtedly Dreamland Beach, located directly in front of the resort’s main pool area. Although it is not a private beach, having such immediate access to one of Bali’s most beautiful stretches of coastline is a tremendous advantage. Being able to walk straight from the resort to the beach made the entire stay feel even more special. Overall, Jumeirah Bali combines beautifully designed villas, generous private spaces, excellent personalised service, strong dining options, and an outstanding beachfront location. There are a few aspects of the villa layout and dining experience that could be improved, but the exceptional service, particularly from Renita, and the unforgettable setting of Dreamland Beach made this a stay our family will remember for a long time.

Beyond expectations- stunning villas, outstanding service and true heart!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

I spent way too much time agonizing over where to stay in Uluwatu for our trip. Travel agents and forums kept pushing the usual big names like Alila or Bulgari, while Jumeirah barely got a mention since it’s newer. To be honest, I wasn't as convinced because a lot of the reviews online felt generic or AI-generated, and I couldn't tell what was real. But I’m so glad I trusted my gut and went with Jumeirah. If you’re on the fence like I was, just go for it—it exceeded our expectations in every way. Architecturally, the resort is stunning. You get incredible ocean views, gorgeous sunsets, and direct access to a beautiful beach. It has the Balinese feel- but a really light and open aesthetic. The property is immaculately maintained. We stayed in an Ocean View Pool Villa and the layout was huge, the villas squeaky clean and thoughtfully designed with high-end linens and materials. The private pool is a proper swimming pool, not just a shallow plunge pool. They’ve really thought of every little detail and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. They allowed us a really early check in, the person who dropped us off offered to make us some coffee ( which was great), we had the welcome handwritten message and the fruits there. The welcome bath was drawn with rose petals! They are really thoughtful and have everything provided for, right down to practical things like clothes-drying racks and vanity hair pins. The service across the board was incredible. The WhatsApp butler service was really responsive and on top of everything we needed. Before we even arrived, the concierge team seamlessly booked our restaurant reservations, Kecak dance tickets, and beach club visit. The gym team were just as great. Their spa is beautiful and the service was really good. Breakfast was another major highlight, but what really blew me away was the intuitive care. On our first morning, our server noticed my husband eating dim sum and bao while I hadn't ordered any. He asked if I’d like some, and I mentioned offhand that I was vegetarian. Sure enough, the next morning, they had custom vegetarian dim sum and bao ready for me without me even asking! Any resort can look nice, but how a place handles a hiccup tells you everything you need to know. We were celebrating our 20th anniversary and went to Akasa for our first dinner. The service that night just wasn't up to par—nothing crazy, just small slip-ups that added up. The next day, I messaged the F&B team via WhatsApp to mention it. They responded immediately, apologized, and asked us to come back. We already had dinner plans elsewhere, so I politely declined. I didn't want to create a fuss. That evening, while we were eating at Segaran, the restaurant manager for Akasa came over to our table. What impressed me most was his approach, it was obvious he wasn't trying too hard to put on a show. He struck the exact right note—completely genuine, grounded, and sincere. He convinced us to try them again on our final night, and I’m so glad we did. The food and service were flawless, and they generously hosted our meal. The chocolate dessert is to die for! The warmth of the staff and the manager's ability to connect and interact completely won us over. I am trying really hard to think of the cons- and the only thing that I can think of is the fact that they charge you extra for the cabanas by the beach. Which seemed a little odd to us. However, if you were in the next row on the loungers it was free 😂. The physical property at Jumeirah is top-tier, but it’s the human touch and genuine hospitality that make it special. Everyone treated us with so much care that we were genuinely sad to leave. We’re already dreaming of going back with our kids and family.
