We had a fantastic time at Kupu Kupu Barong, all of the staff were amazing and so helpful, special mention to Krishna, Tambun, Katut and Dewa. The food was so good, the view over the Agung river is absolutely majestic. The rooms are very very spacious and in the authentic Balinese style with fantastic timber and joinery throughout. Very close to UBUD central with shuttle services including an open air 6-8 seat Jeep / Buggy to take you out. Buggy services to and from the rooms were seemless and timely (being on a hill/cliff). Amazing views, food, service and especially the STAFF, we highly recommend this resort and will be telling all our friends and colleagues! Cheers Josh and Leah xx

Beautiful view over the river in the middle of the jungle, a perfect escape. Thank you to our butler Krishna for combining humour and knowledge as we were welcomed to the room. A must stay if you want a relaxing retreat away from busy streets and loud crowds

We had the absolute pleasure of joining a walking tour with Darma, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Being a local, he had a deep understanding of the area’s culture, traditions, and natural surroundings, which he generously shared with us throughout the walk. He introduced us to various native plants like lemongrass and citronella and even demonstrated how locals used to make toys and necklaces using plants. He crafted a beautiful plant necklace for my wife right on the trail — a small gesture that meant a lot to us. His warmth and care were felt in every moment of the tour. From explaining cultural practices to guiding us through the flora, he made us feel completely at ease. He even welcomed us into a local home where we enjoyed traditional tea and learned about local beekeeping. We had the chance to taste and purchase some delicious honey straight from the source.
