Everything was very nice.. the hotel is very clean and the atmosphere is very relaxing. And the staff is super nice especially Mr. Dewa.

A Disappointing Stay at Kupu Kupu Barong Villas and Spa Ubud Our experience at Kupu Kupu Barong Villas and Spa Ubud was far from what we expected. While the surroundings are naturally beautiful, the resort itself felt outdated and poorly maintained. The villa lacked cleanliness, several amenities were not functioning properly, and the overall condition did not match the luxury image advertised online. Day1 AC started leaking , wooden floor needs real work , beddings were not changed for 5 days till we told them , termites droppings everyday in room , hot water wait for 30 mts , breakfast was horrible . The saving grace was the polite staff and responsive .Indian cuisine was delicious . The chef made some delicious stuffed breads . Mutton Rogan Josh was authentic . For the high price charged, we expected a much more comfortable and professional experience. Unfortunately, the resort did not deliver the relaxing and luxurious atmosphere we were hoping for and we had to move out one week before our planned check out . We would not recommend Kupu Kupu Barong Villas and Spa Ubud and would choose to stay elsewhere on our next visit to Ubud.

I came to Kapu Kapu Barong and had an absolute perfect experience! This is a 5 star resort with excellent service and facilities. The view from our villa was incredible. The room was immaculate and made us feel so welcome. You get a dedicated butler/ attendant for your stay. We had Krista and Sugara and they treated us so kindly and we felt well cared for. The restaurant was very good. The breakfast buffet was extensive and very tasty! Karsana took good care of us at the restaurant. There are, however, a lot of stairs and steep walkways (all of Bali is like this… but worth it!). But no fear! They have buggies (like gold carts) to pick you up so you don’t have to walk up the steep hills. The air conditioning was perfect and there was plenty of hot water for the shower and tub. Room service was excellent and fast. It was also so nice to have our own personal pool! I highly recommend! The massages were great too (and came free with the room). Don’t hesitate to stay here! It was wonderful! We also hired an ellen’s driver, Agus, who we used the enter time we were there.

Our experience at Kapu Kapu was amazing! Staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They were beyond amazing! Breakfast was super tasty and the balinese massages were AMAZING! The entire resort is beautiful. Our butlers, Krisna and Sugara, were so kind and accommodating. They were on time and so helpful with all of our asks and needs! Karsana at Breakfast was very kind and always asking if we needed anything else! They were all amazing. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The rooms were tidied up every time before we got back. The rooms were affordable for what we received as we had our own pool with an amazing view. The location was beautiful. The forests, rivers, everything was amazing to wake up to. The resort itself is beautiful. There are a lot of hills and a few stairs but they have golf carts that drive you to your room and anywhere in the resort you need to go. Overall, i would recommend this place to everyone who is visiting for vacation, business, family trip, anniversary, etc.
