I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service we received from our butler during our stay at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. From the beginning of our stay, our butler Mr. Tapsir. consistently made a genuine effort to understand our preferences, requirements, and needs. He proactively asked the right questions, listened carefully, and followed through faithfully on every request, which made our time at the resort truly seamless. We were especially touched by how thoughtfully he handled our special occasions. Not only did he acknowledge our honeymoon and birthday celebration, but he also went beyond the resort by coordinating with an outside restaurant so we could be recognized and celebrated there as well. Thanks to his initiative and attention to detail, we were able to enjoy what felt like the best birthday celebration and honeymoon experience we could have hoped for. Throughout the stay, he took meticulous care to ensure we were comfortable at all times and that there were no inconveniences. His professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness consistently exceeded our expectations. Because of the experience we had at Mandapa—and particularly because of the support from our butler—our impression of Bali has become even more positive. We would be very happy to return to Bali and to Mandapa in the future, and we will certainly recommend Mandapa to friends and family in Korea. Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is an incredibly beautiful, lush green resort with an exceptional level of service and genuine care for its guests. It is a place where you feel inspired to photograph every single corner. The resort is nestled in the jungle, right on the riverbank, and its grounds are surrounded by stunning rice terraces, creating a truly magical atmosphere of privacy, tranquility, and harmony with nature. The villas are magnificent: a private pool with a direct view of the river and the jungle, a large spacious veranda with a comfortable lounge area, and a private green courtyard. Every detail is thoughtfully designed, making it perfect both for family stays and complete relaxation. The resort offers a small but very well-equipped gym and a cozy yoga room. The spa area features a steam sauna, a dry sauna, and a heated jacuzzi with a breathtaking view. We enjoyed massages as a family and were extremely satisfied with the quality of the treatments. I would especially like to mention my therapist, Kari, who made my spa experience truly special. The staff deserve special recognition. Everyone is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. You truly feel sincere warmth and a strong desire to make your stay perfect. Breakfasts are excellent, with both à la carte and buffet options. There is a wide selection of egg dishes, cheeses, cold cuts, salmon, sashimi, fresh greens, salads, soups, a variety of Asian dishes, fruits, smoothies, yogurts, pastries, and freshly baked bread. Many tables offer beautiful views of the river and the jungle. One morning all tables were occupied, and we had to wait briefly. However, the manager apologized to us many times and kindly invited us to a complimentary dinner at the Japanese restaurant. This gesture perfectly reflects the high level of service and genuine care for guests. The resort has three restaurants, and we visited two of them: Sawah Terrace — the cuisine was not entirely to our taste, as we are not big fans of Asian food. Ambar (Japanese cuisine) — absolutely outstanding: delicious food, very creative signature cocktails, impeccable service, and breathtaking sunsets. I would especially like to mention our waiter, Oman, whose attention and care were felt in every moment. One particularly touching detail deserves special mention: every evening before bedtime, we were brought herbal tea with local sweets. This was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that created a feeling of comfort, warmth, and true personal care. I would also like to thank our butler, Agung, who was extremely attentive and always ready to assist. Overall, this was a truly special stay. The resort is filled with people with kind hearts, and we feel very lucky to have chosen this place. We sincerely wish the resort continued success and prosperity, to always preserve this unique atmosphere of warmth and care, to welcome inspired guests from all over the world, and to enjoy many happy returns. The peace, nature, harmony, and absolute sense of tranquility make you instantly slow down and truly relax. Every morning and every sunset felt like a small work of art. A special mention must be given to the hotel service, which operates at an absolutely world-class level. Professionalism, warmth, genuine smiles, and attention to the smallest details made us feel not like guests, but like truly welcome members of the household. We would especially like to thank our butler, Ikomang Tapsir, who was truly the heart of our stay. His dedication, discretion, flawless organization, and exceptional care for every aspect of our comfort made the entire experience perfect. We spent 5 magical nights here for my daughter’s late birthday (combined with my husband’s name day), and every detail exceeded expectations—from the jaw-dropping rice field views in our pool villa to the impeccable butler service that made it all seamless. Unforgettable Highlights Our One-Bedroom Pool Villa with rice terrace views was paradise: spacious (over 400 sqm), private 30 sqm pool, lush garden, and separate living area perfect for our family of four. Breakfast was insane—floating breakfasts by the river, endless fresh tropical fruits, Balinese specialties, and made-to-order eggs with Ayung River vistas. We indulged in fine dining twice at Kubu (Michelin-worthy tasting menus) and had them arrange a special custom cake ordered from outside, beautifully set up with birthday decor—celebrations happened 3-4 times thanks to the staff’s thoughtful touches like surprise notes. Family & Service Perfection Mandapa Camp kept our 6-year-old girl thrilled with bamboo huts, organic farm feeding (rabbits, ducks!), and cultural workshops—no screens, just immersive nature play. Meanwhile, we relaxed with spa treatments and riverside dinners. The 24/7 butler handled everything: transport, reservations, even birthday surprises. This Reserve-level privacy and personalization in Ubud’s jungle-river setting is unmatched for luxury family trips. Why Return? The Mandappa was easily one of my favourite hotels i’ve ever been in. Where do I begin? The hospitality was beyond amazing. All of the staff will go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable and having a good time. They really treat you like royalty! The place is unbelievably beautiful! Luscious greenery, spacious rooms, and omg the exquisite food! The spa experience is an absolute must. Easily one of the best. I really loved my stay and I honestly cannot wait to be back!
