巴厘岛最好的度假村之一，去巴厘岛的首选。酒店坐落在风景如画的乌布核心地区，紧邻Ayung River并且坐拥一片稻田美景。我们这次入住的是河景泳池别墅，房间很大而且设计得很有巴厘岛特色，泳池面对着Ayung River和热带雨林，很有热带度假的感觉，而且隐私性极佳。 酒店共有3家餐厅，各具特色都十分值得推荐。第一家是大名鼎鼎的kubu，坐落在Ayung河边，由一个个鸟巢造型的Bamboo Pavilion组成，食材来自巴厘岛的各个区域，很有当地特色，晚餐体验堪称完美。第二家是Ambar，是一家酒吧兼日料餐厅，坐落在山顶的大堂旁，视野开阔，可以俯瞰整个酒店和稻田，是欣赏日落美景的绝佳地点；提供的鸡尾酒个个都很好喝，而且每个背后都有一个故事，十分适合黄昏时分坐在这里，点上一杯鸡尾酒看着夕阳将天空与稻田一点点染红。最后一家是Sawah Terrace，提供每天的早餐和印尼美食。早餐是半自助的，内容十分丰富，尤其是现做的面条味道很好，入住期间我每天都要吃上一碗；晚餐则提供地道的巴厘岛美食，特别推荐Sop Buntut、Bebek Goreng Bacem还有Ikan Bakar，味道令人惊叹。每周三和周六晚上，这里还有传统的巴厘岛舞蹈表演。 不得不提的是酒店的泳池，面对着开阔的稻田美景。儿童泳池是24小时恒温的，非常适合小朋友。虽然别墅里自带泳池，但我儿子每天都在儿童泳池里玩得不亦乐乎。除此之外，酒店的儿童俱乐部每天也提供丰富多彩的活动，还可以喂牛和各种小动物。酒店还提供各种各样丰富多彩的活动，其中Royal Picnic Expedition、Volkswagen Vintage Tour、Exclusive Ayung River Journey都极具特色，十分值得推荐。 最值得一提的就是酒店的服务，堪称完美。一抵达酒店，我们就受到从总经理Hosoya先生到管家Nessa小姐的热烈欢迎，在亲切的问候之后，他们为我们详细介绍了酒店的各类设施和活动；欢迎饮料也非常好喝，令人印象深刻。在酒店遇到的每一个服务人员都面带微笑，会热情地和你打招呼，大多数服务人员甚至能叫出你的名字，实在令人惊叹。在泳池一坐下，就会有人送来毛巾、冰水和水果。Housekeeping团队也同样优秀，每天都会留下问候的纸条和用毛巾叠成的小动物，我儿子可喜欢这些小动物了。 还有一件事情令我印象深刻，久久不能忘怀。入住的第四天傍晚，我们在酒店的稻田里漫步，突然天降大雨。我们没带伞，附近也没有避雨的地方，一时间特别狼狈。就在这时，一名年轻的酒店男员工正好路过，他看到我们后马上跑过来，把手中仅有的雨伞给了我们，然后飞速消失在大雨中。事发突然，我没来得及问他的名字，但他消逝在雨中的背影，却一直印在我的脑海里。谢谢你，年轻人，感谢你的雨伞，感谢你的帮助。 最后要特别感谢的是我们的中文管家Nessa，她态度和蔼可亲，工作认真负责。入住期间，她帮我们安排行程、预定餐厅、提供buggy接送服务，还每天准备小朋友要喝的牛奶，事无巨细都安排得很好，让我们不用操心任何事，只需安心享受假期。最后我们带的尿布不够了，也是她想方设法提供了新的尿布。谢谢你，Nessa，感谢你为我们所做的一切，让我们全家度过了5天完美的假期。 巴厘岛有很多顶级的度假酒店，提供着各种顶级的体验，但我个人认为Mandapa无疑是其中最耀眼的一个。感谢Hosoya先生、Nessa小姐、那位在大雨中把伞让给我们的年轻人，还有housekeeping团队的Agus、Merfa、Sumada、Sukresna、Wahyu、Wira、Jali，以及其他所有的工作人员，感谢你们给我们全家带来了如此美好的体验。期待与你们的下次相聚，对我们而言，Mandapa不仅是一个顶级奢华的度假村，更是一群在远方的老友。

Our stay at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve — one of only eight in the world — was so magical I had to share. My family and I came here to celebrate my birthday in Bali, staying for three nights, and we already deeply miss it — we wished we could have stayed much longer. From the bustling streets of Ubud, a narrow path leads to this serene, zen-like oasis. The moment we arrived, we were greeted by stunning views of lush forests and rice paddies, perched on top of the landscape and surrounded by nature. It immediately made us feel calm, enchanted, and ready for the extraordinary stay ahead. We were personally welcomed upon arrival by Mr. Gunawan, the Director of Rooms, and other team members, which immediately made us feel valued and at home. We stayed in a pool villa, and it was nothing short of spectacular — my wife said it’s the best villa she has ever stayed in. The villa featured a private infinity pool, a separate living area, and thoughtful amenities like a Dyson hair dryer (always a plus in my book!). Turndown service was enchanting: every night brought different local drinks and snacks, accompanied by little Balinese stories that made each evening special. On the first day, the team surprised me with a birthday cake crafted exactly to my preferences — it was the best birthday cake I’ve ever had, and my wife and son wholeheartedly agreed! The service at Mandapa is truly unparalleled. Our patih, Madi, exemplified perfection — graceful, efficient, and extraordinarily attentive, anticipating our every need before we even spoke. Dining staff, including Nila at Sawah Terrace, consistently went above and beyond, providing personalized touches like small Indonesian snacks and ensuring every meal was memorable. Everywhere we went, the team knew our names and our child’s, treating us like royalty and making every interaction feel special. Our son was overjoyed with Mandapa Camp — he would rush us through breakfast daily just to get there. The camp features live animals, including cows, ducks, and chickens; the two cows, Manda and Dapa, are delightfully named. The activities are screen-free, educational, and endlessly engaging. He called it “the best kids club in the world.” The resort itself is breathtaking, like a fairytale come to life. Lush forests, rice terraces, and elegant architecture combine with the lively sights and sounds of the Ayung River to create an enchanting atmosphere. Our spa experience was equally exceptional. We booked a massage session and enjoyed every moment. Afterwards, we were escorted to the relaxation room with small snacks and drinks while enjoying the sights and soothing sounds of the Ayung River. From there, we went to the vitality pool through a separate locker room, which also included a sauna and steam room. There is even a barbershop inside the spa — we didn’t have time to use it, but it looked incredible. We also took advantage of the complimentary 30-minute family photo shoot session, and the results were amazing — a perfect keepsake of our magical stay. While enjoying delectable, unique cocktails and breathtaking views from Ambar, Mr. Suarjaya, the Loyalty Manager, personally stopped by to introduce himself and ensure our stay was perfect. One of the drivers we had shared fascinating Balinese myths and history with us, which I loved and added a special layer to our experience. Having stayed in plenty of luxury resorts around the world, Mandapa is undeniably one of the most magical. From the breathtaking villa and vistas to the impeccable, personalized service, every detail was curated to perfection. Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, is polished, high-end luxury with heart — an unforgettable birthday escape for the entire family.

Wonderful experience here in Mandapa. Hotel environment is gorgeous and u can get wonderful pics anywhere in the hotel. Room is nice and super clean, they also have special decoration for my bday. Spa is good too but a bit pricy. Service is just wonderful, staff is friendly helpful, and they have butler for me who can speak Chinese and arrange things for me. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

From the moment I stepped into Mandapa, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve, I felt like I’d been transported somewhere far from the noise — without ever leaving Bali. The day began with a warm welcome and a glass of Loloh Cemcem — tangy, refreshing, and the perfect prelude to the calm that awaited. We explored the lush property by buggy, passing carved wooden doorways and sweeping paddy fields. Every corner seemed to whisper peace. Brunch at Sawah Terrace was unforgettable — the “Royal Brunch” is exactly that: freshly carved suckling pig, seafood, sushi, ramen, pasta, BBQ, and a dessert spread that could tempt anyone to skip lunch and dinner for a week. After a slow walk through the rice fields, the spa awaited — my treatment room overlooked the Ayung River. Sixty minutes of pure bliss, with the sound of flowing water and the scent of essential oils. I left feeling lighter, calmer… and maybe a little reluctant to leave. Golden hour found us at Ambar, sipping signature cocktails to the sound of a live jazz trio. As the treetops turned gold, it felt like a scene from a film. Dinner at Sawah Terrace closed the day with rendang so tender it melted on the tongue, salted egg prawns, and wagyu tongseng that tasted like comfort, elevated. Mandapa isn’t just a place you visit — it’s an experience that lingers long after you’ve left. A Sunday well spent, and a soul softly refilled.

If you have Mandapa on your list of potential places to stay in Ubud, stop your search and just book it. We've stayed at some great places, but this was hands down the best hotel experience we've ever had. The property is simply stunning, nestled in the jungly hills of Ubud with the Ayung River flowing through it. We ate and imbibed at each of the onsite restaurants/bars -- Ambar, Sawah Terrace, Kubu and the Pool Bar -- and every bite and sip was delicious, offering an ideal mix of local, Asian, and Western cuisines. Don't skip the craft cocktails at Ambar, dreamed up by mixologist Adi; their special vermouth made for one of the best Manhattan's I've had in a long time. And every morning I looked forward to breakfast at Sawah Terrace. So good! The service is otherworldly! Our butlers Agung and Stevie really pulled out all the stops and were available to us whenever we needed. No request was too big or small. And it's the small touches, like having coconuts waiting for us in our room after coming back from a day tour, the constant other tasty treats they'd leave, noticing we didn't have dinner plans and making some for us, and even suggesting one morning we had breakfast delivered to the villa for a different experience (and it was such the right call!!!!). They knew what we needed or wanted before we could ever articulate it ourselves -- simply magical hospitality. And most shocking is that seemingly every member of staff knew who we were (as well as the other guests), because they addressed us by name everywhere we went. I'm a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite member, which is like the lowest status tier, but we were made to feel like royalty simply for being a member. We booked a villa overlooking the resort rice paddies, but were upgraded to a river villa. That villa was *PERFECT* in every way, and the calming sounds of the flowing river certainly lowered by blood pressure for the 4 nights we were there. If we ever land back in Bali, we will absolutely stay here. And you should too.
