Very good resort, everyone is very friendly and polite, especially carya in the pool bar, so skilled and funny. The only suggestion, put some music at least at the happy hour.

The place is amazing and at the pool bar Carya is the best! He made us tipsy and happy, nothing better than that when you’re on a family vacation lol :)

Great! Highly recommended!

This was our second stay in Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa. The first one was 11 years ago, when we Celebrated my 60th Birthday and brought 23 friends and relatives with us. This time we combined business with pleasure: Came to Sunrider Retreat and at the same time Celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary. The rooms, food, hospitality, cleanness was great. The beach and the whole atmosphere were great! We also would like to express our gratitude to Arini the Front Office Manager for organizing the beautiful flowers for me. We Highly recommend staying in this wonderful 5 Star hotel! Smiling 😃 Sofia and Joking Joseph from Melbourne Australia.

Don't be fooled by the website pictures. The communal areas are beautiful however the bedrooms need investment to bring up to 5

The hotel has beautifully maintained grounds and communal areas and the staff are lovely. The location is good and it was lovely to be able to access the beautiful beach. The breakfast was good and whilst it was busy at peak times, there was always plenty of choice. There is the usual sun lounger issue however there were always spare ones on the beautiful beach. People have commented on loose tiles in the pool. Everyday the maintance man was trying to re cement these. Overall we enjoyed our stay, however the rooms we were allocated were extremely poor. We had booked through an independent agent and had requested the Premier rooms and paid the extra amount for these. However the information was not relayed to the hotel and we were booked into the deluxe rooms. On speaking to the manager, there was nothing that they could do as it was down to the third party booking the rooms incorrectly. We were told that the hotel is full and there were not any premier rooms available. An upgrade was offered for one of our 3 rooms to the palace rooms but that would have left the rest of our family in the other 2 substandard rooms. Therefore we opted to stay put. There is no way that the rooms that we were allocated could be considered 5 star. The bathrooms were dark, dirty in the corners, appeared unfinished and the extractor fan was spewing old dust over the toilet and sink unit. There was still toothpaste spit marks on the mirror and the pots to put your toothbrush in were not clean. The bedrooms had furniture that was chipped and had seen better days. The bedside clock was faulty. The balcony furniture was also chipped and faded. After spending the past week in 2 other amazing 5 star hotels, it was a shock to see the contrast. After several discussions between our booking agent and the management of the hotel, you would think that one of the managers would come to see us and try to put things right. I understand that the booking was not their error but they should have spoken to us to see if anything else could be done. However, that was not the case. It is a shame because the staff working day to day are trying so hard to maintain the hotel but people need to be aware, that it really isn't a 5 star hotel.

Does not deserve a 5 star rating

We had a lovely holiday in Bali in spite of paying for 5 star hotel and this not really being one… The hotel has a lovely entrance lobby and the grounds are well kept. However the pools have loose tiles and the bedrooms are in desperate need of renovation. The bathrooms in the standard rooms are inexcusable. They are dirty, moldy, cracked tiles, tiny, poor lighting. I complained and was promised a deep clean that did not happen and then we moved to a premium room. The bathroom is better- bigger - but still in need of renovation and with lots of mold in the shower. I did complain about this but I don’t believe Accor (of which this hotel is part of) seem to care as the response remains inadequate. As per previous reviews there are very few sun beds by the pools- certainly not in keeping with the size of the hotel. We did therefore end up on the beach and that was quite nice with the breeze and the shade from the trees. We found loungers at 9:30-10am. We are too polite to reserve them although so many people do this. There are positives to this hotel. The staff are friendly and really helpful, with the exception of some of the reception staff who I felt could have been a bit more understanding. Rooms were not even ready at the 3pm check in time and one we waited until after 6:30pm for. The tamarind restaurant is really good. One of our highlights was the ability to walk along the path in front of the beach and visit other hotel restaurants and walk to the Bali collection where there are shops and restaurants. Would I go back to Bali- would love to, but to this hotel? Not until it’s been renovated!
