The Oberoi Beach Resort, Bali

We recently spent four unforgettable days at The Oberoi, Bali, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. Despite being located near the hustle and bustle of Seminyak and Kuta, the hotel feels like a peaceful sanctuary – a place where serenity and calm are woven into every detail. The property has been around for many years, yet its timeless elegance and minimalist design create an atmosphere of understated luxury. This is not a resort for loud entertainment or nightlife; rather, it’s a haven for those seeking to relax, unwind, and reconnect – perhaps with a book in hand, surrounded by the gentle sounds of nature. The staff truly made our stay exceptional. They are genuinely warm, thoughtful, and proactive in anticipating guests’ needs. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly well cared for. The restaurant is superb, offering a refined selection of Italian, Indonesian, and Indian cuisine (mille gracie to the Italian Chef!). Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious – a true highlight of our stay. While the resort doesn’t offer extensive entertainment for children or boast the largest pools, our seven-year-old son still had a wonderful time. He loved feeding the fish in the ponds, jumping between our private pool and the main pool, and playing for hours on the beach. Entertainment is deliberately minimal, in keeping with the hotel’s tranquil spirit. We especially enjoyed the daily afternoon tea, and were lucky enough to witness the magical release of baby turtles into the sea – a memory we’ll cherish forever. A special thank you to General Manager John Halpin, who personally oversaw the turtle release, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to the experience. Finally, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to Hotel Manager Arie, who went out of his way to make our family feel welcome and at home. In short, if you are looking for a high-end retreat with fine dining, exceptional service, and a deeply relaxing ambiance, The Oberoi, Bali is a perfect choice – even with children.

Excellent property and an amazing service ! The property is not dense so you get enough privacy and exclusivity with only a few residents. As a vegetarian family we loved their vegetarian menus !

A beautiful hotel. Very well spaced out, amazing warm and super friendly staff. The service is impeccable and outstanding. The location is perfect, most of the restaurants and shops are all within walking distance. The rooms are impressive and the food is excellent! Overall a 10 of 10.

For the discerning traveler! One that wants to be seen but not bothered, if that's you then this is the place for you! We stayed in a partial ocean villa, and it was steps to the pool and a few more to the beach. What a great unit, it was original with all its charm, but freshened up for the modern conveniences (nespresso, usb chargers, tv with abundance of English speaking channels, etc..). I did notice other reviews saying that wanted it to be more modern, if that's your ask, then stay at a W then. I travel extensively and stay at the modern properties a lot, and to me this property and location wanted me yearning for NOTHING else. I love the luxury of having all our needs met without asking, if that's you, then this is your place. Special call out to John, the GM, who made the effort to connect with us, by accident on our first morning in, you've made something special here and all your team did an absolutely incredible job, keep up the great work!
