We visited Rimba by Ayana resort at the end of September this year. My husband and I stayed there for 3 nights. Everything about the resort was wonderful from the moment we were greeted at the reception until the end of our vacation. The rooms were exactly like the pictures, the food was delicious, the pools were great. You must visit the Rock Bar, a very beautiful place for dinner.As a minus for this place, however, I was impressed that the entire complex is designed for non-smokers and the only place where you can smoke if you are a smoker is next to the pools or restaurants.Perhaps attention should also be paid to the fact that there should be more amenities and places where smoking can be done, such as at least a few pools or restaurants, because there are still smokers in this complex.And the other thing that slightly annoyed me was that in the morning you can't buy coffee from any restaurant because I wanted to drink coffee and smoke a cigarette, but since the places were for non-smokers I wanted to buy coffee and drink it on the terrace in the room, but everywhere I went they told me that I couldn't take coffee on the go, I had to drink it on the spot.Apart from these minuses and the neglect of smokers, everything else is wonderful and very beautiful.

This is one of the most disappointing trip to one of my favourite properties in Bali. While it's an undeniably lovely property, there was a massive lapse in consideration for guest's comfort. Despite having made and paid for the reservation close to 6 months prior, with clear request for a QUIET room. I was still given a room that faces the pool and with a Balinese themed restaurant nearby that has night performance 3 nights out of the 5 nights Im staying. Common sense will tell that it's not gonna be a quiet room. On top of that, there was renovation project with incessant knocking noises after dark. Not mentioning also that soundproofing is so bad and with MANY occasions of slamming doors, the noise vibrates much worse. My loyalty to the brand has earned me a "GOLD" membership and that room was so called an upgrade. Which felt more like a downgrade. Such a vast property and yet that was the best room they could give me. All I wanted was a QUIET room. I needed peace and rest and the arrangement was far from it. Room service has their share of mistakes as well in spite of 4 nights of same order. Honestly, I cannot contain my disappointed this trip. Perhaps this property is getting too big and popular for any personalised service even if you have a good tier membership.

Arrived at the hotel early and had to wait for our room to be ready. The recommendation was to go to the closest restaurant, To'ge, where we were warmly greeted by Bagus who provided the most wonderful service. We were so impressed with the level of service provided before check-in that we returned the next morning and were again greeted so warmly by both Bagus and the lovely Ratnasari. We chatted for ages about Nyepi, the traditional holidays of Bali and the hidden ideas to keep us busy while staying at the hotel. My partner, Laura and I are so impressed that we wanted to write this commendation for the attentive service provided. We are only on day 2 of our honeymoon and have been made to feel like royalty.
