The Royal Pita Maha

Just got back from a 9 day visit on a half board basis. There is so much to love about this place that you can live with the small negatives. We loved the view, inspired by the location and the gardens, totally adored our own pool looking across the valley of lush vegitation. Food wise, buffet breakfast was amazing. Our evening meals were a choice of set meals that were 5* standard. The staff are so friendly and eager to please, we never had a bad experience the whole time. The staff totally make this place. The only negatives are the rooms really need to be brought back to 5* standard. Everything is there but now it's getting old. The door/window seals don't seal which really would have stopped the bugs getting in. The decor was modern 15 years ago but now it's looking dated. The wifi was ok despite what others have said. We were getting about 15Mb in the room which was not bad to stream netflix/spotify Overall, it's a 5* hotel, with 6* staff, 6* food only let down by the dated rooms that require some TLC

This place is amazing! I can’t imagine anywhere else in Bali better than this place. Rooms beautiful. Food delicious. Restaurants galore.

You will be greeted by a wonderful view and very kind staff. You have not seen anything yet and yet you feel that you are in the best place. The rooms are extraordinary, you get exactly what you see in the pictures, or rather even more. we would go back anytime

We spent two days at the hotel. the location, the common areas and the rooms are all unique and incredible. The hotel is sited on a gorge, overlooking a river (with its own waterfall) inside the Bali jungle. All areas are packed with art, including some spectacular bas-relief and pictures. Staff is attentive and helpful. Both breakfast and dinner were superb. The rooms, which are really small villas with their own pool, are extremely well appointed and afford peace and privacy. Would have staid linger and look forward to returning. If you can, do absolutely stay

We spent our honeymoon at The Royal Pita Maha, and it was magical. Every interaction felt sincere and thoughtful—like we were being looked after by family. Breakfasts were generous, fresh, and served with a view that made every morning feel like a celebration. The on-site restaurant was peaceful and romantic, perfect for slow dinners under the stars. If you’re looking for a honeymoon that feels intimate, luxurious, and deeply connected to nature and culture—this is it. The Royal Pita Maha gave us memories we’ll carry forever. It’s not just a resort, it’s a love story waiting to happen.
