The Samaya Seminyak-Bali

We (a couple in our early seventies, visiting Bali for the first time) chose this hotel for the bulk of our holiday celebrating our recent Golden Wedding. We are delighted that we made this choice (on the advice of our Travel Agent) for a number of reasons. The accommodation was amazing - spacious, well appointed, clean and cool with a large private pool and every amenity you could reasonably ask for. The service provided was friendly and efficient with an extremely personal touch throughout our stay, including free lifts to local restaurants if required and a beautiful floral arrangement to mark our Anniversary. The situation is excellent with easy access to the attractive beach (although the waves and currents made swimming forbidden whilst we were there) and a lovely pool where on occasions we were the only users for hours on end! It is very close to the centre of Seminyak which is buzzy and varied with plenty of shops, spas and restaurants. The hotel has a policy unique in our experience where breakfast can be taken at any time of the day - no 7 until 10 limit here. This allowed us to be as relaxed as we wished and we certainly did relax. It also provides Afternoon Tea for its guests and has a good quality restaurant if you wish to eat on site. The menu and cuisine were very impressive and helped us to sample local food cooked with flair. For us this was a magical place which suited us down to the ground. Many younger couples also seemed to enjoy the peaceful ambience although they would have needed to leave the site to enjoy more lively pursuits - but there were plenty of clubs and late evening venues just around the corner, so to speak. We visited at a time when most youngsters were in school and I'm unsure how the site would appeal to them but as a quiet retreat with impeccable service and lovely villas this would take some beating. We had the pleasure of staying at the Samaya Seminyak for 10 nights. The villas and restaurant facilities at the resort of the highest quality and we would strongly recommend that you use the resort as a base to explore the wonderful island of Bali. Our stay at Samaya was way beyond expectation. It's a magnificent resort....quiet, peaceful, fantastic restaurant and accommodation superb. Right in the heart of Seminyak so walk to shops and great restaurants. The staff at Samaya are exceptional.....many remembered our names and the personal attention was most appreciated. We can't wait to go back.

Well our first time staying at the Samaya and have to say the experience, warmth and friendliness of the staff was amazing.
