On a quiet section of southern Bali's Seminyak Beach, just minutes from the bustle of Legian, The Samaya Seminyak offers the best of both worlds. Whether you choose a garden villa with private plunge pool or Royal Pavilion with its own Balinese bale, you'll feel as if you have the resort to yourselves. A massage hut and the exotic Alang-Alang Restaurant set at the rim of the Indian Ocean add to the divinely romantic atmosphere.

A week at The Samaya was in most ways an enjoyable experience. The Samaya is one of a line of up-market resorts set along Seminyak beach, which is a wide sandy beach with breaking surf. Great sunset views. It features a large freshwater pool in the middle of the lovely scenic grounds and has a bar and restaurant beside the ocean, set above the beach. An early breakfast there was very pleasant. There is a good variety of food items to choose from. Service from all the staff was friendly, helpful, and usually prompt. Accommodation is entirely in self-contained villas. These villas are walled and private units, and each includes a small swimming pool as well as spacious air-conditioned accommodation. There is no view beyond your own garden/mini pool area. The better and more expensive units are around the pool and main hotel grounds, while the rest are in a separate building down the main road and up a side road a little way. You can get room service meals, laundry, and free buggy rides to and from the main building. All good, but one thing is missing – atmosphere. Residents appear at breakfast time, then mostly return to their villas, never to be seen again, During the day, the pool and grounds were deserted, despite the hotel being nearly full. Some people appeared for dinner, but a lot go out to neighbourhood restaurants in Seminyak or along the beach. I personally missed the communal atmosphere that hotel public lounges and bars bring. This hotel is designed for people enjoy splendid isolation and if this is your thing, then you will love it. Of course, you can walk to many restaurants in town in few minutes from here, but do not expect refined experiences. The main eating street is Jl. Kayu Aya and it’s a party street with a ramshackle collection of bars and restaurants of a range of styles, cuisines, and quality. Sidewalks are lumpy, broken and occasionally missing, and traffic is slow but hectic. Fine dining exists at La Lucciola on the beach nearby, or Ku De Ta, at the southern end of the beach, a few minutes walk from the hotel. Last, consider the weather. Bali in October was incredibly hot and uncomfortably humid. Far better to visit in June, when it feels much cooler.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was our first booking through Luxury Escapes and OMG — what an incredible experience! We were met at the airport by The Samaya van and warmly welcomed by the beautiful staff. Our pool villa was spacious, private, and absolutely stunning. The resort itself is outstanding — every staff member was kind, caring, and so polite, and they all remembered our names, which made it feel extra special. We genuinely loved every one of them. The food was divine, and on our final night our amazing butler, Kris, arranged a romantic table overlooking the sunset — just beautiful. 🌅 A huge bonus is the complimentary transport anywhere in Seminyak, which made getting around so easy. We highly, highly recommend staying here — and we’ll definitely be back! 🌺

Our stay at The Samaya Seminyak had its highs and lows. The beach and pool areas were absolutely amazing — the perfect spots to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. However, we found the service to be delayed at times, and the food was just average, which was a bit disappointing compared to the rest of the experience. While the setting and amenities were fantastic, the inconsistent service kept our stay from being truly exceptional. It’s a beautiful resort with great potential, but there’s room for improvement in service and dining.

We’ve just had the most amazing 6 night stay at The Samaya resort . First the pick was sheer class very professional . People say first impressions count … they sure did . As we arrived at the hotel the staff were waiting for us and greeted us with flower garlands , a drink and quickly showed us to our villa ! AMAZING is an understatement !!! Spacious it was like a dream and I’m one who’s hard to impress . Clean , spacious grounds kept very pristine . Food in the restaurant is so tasty and presented well . The view of the ocean and long beach what’s to. Complain about ? Absolutely nothing !!! We celebrated my hubbys 60th bday there and they were on point . Sang to him and brought his cake perfectly done . Staff are so attentive , positive smiling and you can feel their love . Would we recommend yes we certainly would . You know we didn’t want to leave and we left I shed a tear or two . Thank you all so much for all you did to make our dreams come true . Another point it’s easier to get the airport too from the hotel Thank you again from Sangeeta & Vinod Mistry UK

We recently stayed 3 nights in a beach front one bedroom royal pavilion as a family with 2 small children. The villa was huge and perfect for our family (especially the tv in the spa bath and the large pool). The service was also incredible. We loved the included breakfast. The location is also fantastic as you get gorgeous sunset views over the beach and it's a short walk to markets and shops I would highly recommend this hotel
